The Power of Smile on Adversity

The pilot tells everyone that they will soon arrive at the military airport of La Carlota located in Venezuela, that they take the necessary security measures for the subsequent landing. Alejandro was a little silent during the flight; Daniel was always alert following the indications given in the hospital, but Augustus was calm and a little quiet.

Land plane C130 of the Venezuelan Air Force on the runway, passengers smile among themselves thanking God that they were back home.

Already below the plane Daniel is received with the honors corresponding to his rank, shake the hand of all thanking him for his happy return, they are immediately approached by a commission of the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research, requesting a meeting with Dr. Alejandro.

Daniel approaches them saying that they leave Dr. Alejandro quiet since he had just left a coma and needed to rest that if they want to leave all the necessary information with which he would get it after the doctor.

Alejandro maintained the calm never imagine to see so much turmoil to its arrival the news had run like gunpowder in its native country, augusto at all times was next to its brother who for a moment was overwhelmed to see so much.

Once the reception is over, the three passengers make their way home, Daniel tells Alejandro that it would be an honor if he likes to stay in his house until he feels better, he agrees saying that if there is his nephew who wants to see so much.

Everyone smiles at the kind proposal of Daniel and they leave for the house where Rosmargaret and Josefa wait for them. On the way home Alejandro tells them that if they can stop for a moment in a place where they sell an incredible cocada, and that long ago missed its pleasant taste.

They all laugh out loud and accede to Alejandro's request by taking him to that place.

Arriving at the so named place, the owner greets Dr. Alejandro with a kind and sincere smile, apparently this was one of his many patients, he takes advantage and this one asks him what had happened to him that he did not see him more for the business, he thought that already he did not like his cocadas.

-It's not worth Miguel, they are very rich indeed I bring you new customers!

-What a good doctor to see you around again.

"I was on a trip, but I'm back, Miguel.

Everyone begins to taste the exquisite cocada that Alexander had told them so much, everyone smiled like children in that place.

Meanwhile Rosmargaret and Josefa made the preparations in the house to celebrate the return of his brother-in-law Alejandro.

The cook asks them what food to prepare the doctor upon arrival, Rosmargaret tells him that with a good homemade meal he was satisfied that he was a very humble person and was not demanding about it.

After a few hours the bugle is heard at the entrance of Daniel's house. Everyone runs to dress at the unexpected arrival thought it would take a little later.

From the car he descends first Daniel and Josefa comes out to meet him, holding him very tightly, then Alejandro and Augusto descend and in their meeting Rosmargaret comes out with a spectacular dress of flowers and his straw hat, in his arms he was carrying Eduardo who was a little silent .

Augustus drops the suitcases by letting them fall and hugging his family, they smile and the tears are immediately visible on their faces, it seemed an eternity that could not be seen.

Alejandro approaches them and asks to load the baby he raises it towards the sky saying.

"God knows how much I longed to meet you and how I had to return to be here with you.

Immediately everyone around Alejandro and Eduardo with him in his arms smile and hug him. The long wait was over and Dr. Alejandro and his family were meeting again.

A peculiar smell invades the smell of all present.

"Oh, what a rich smell!"

"That's a surprise, Alejandro, that we've prepared for you."

"I have not felt at home in a while, Augustus and my brothers, who know about them.

"Everyone is fine brother, I did not want to tell you what was happening to you so as not to distress you."

"And Mom?"

"It's all right, brother, taking care of everyone as always sitting in your rocking chair.

"How good it feels to be home!"

Already all inside Alejandro tells the baby that is still in his arms.

"You can not imagine how many adventures your parents gave you to come to the world."

-You're a great guy.

"I did not know Rosmargaret that you made such beautiful children."

"I really am the master builder brother.

-If Augusto especially that you faint by impressions.

Everyone in the room laughs at Rosmargaret's sarcastic reply. What a special day was lived in the house of Daniel and Josefa, it felt that magic invaded that place.

Finishing the reception feast Daniel stands up to say some emotional words to those present.

"Please listen to me a moment!"

-I want to thank God especially for the happy return of the doctor Alejandro who proved us to be a formidable man, wise and dedicated to science.

-I want to thank my daughter and Eduardo especially for being here sharing with us, they do not know how happy they make us.

Josefa interrupts the words of her husband to also thank how happy she feels to be there with her daughter and her family, reminding them that she regretted that the beginning of all this was disastrous with the dinner that provoked that, if daughter fled in such a painful way for her, but that in the end she would achieve her dreams of forming another family so spectacular and also as special as the one she was there.
