Rick, Daryl, and Michonne haven't arrived back from the run, which was expected. They said that they might be gone for days at a time, that there would be times that they wouldn't even answer the radio. Rick told you not to worry, that everything will be okay; you believed him.

Jessica had finished putting the last of her toys away as you walked into her room. "Hows it going, Jessie?"

She nods and tells you about things that she found in her room.

"Its amazing what you can find when things are clean, huh?" You chuckle.

She nods again with pride stamped on her forehead, then follows you into the living room. Carl is spread out on the couch asleep. Jessica smiles and runs to jump on him. He muffles and startles awake, throwing my hands up in the air defensively. She lies on his stomach, snuggling her nose into his chest" just like an older brother. Carl smiles down at her as you walk over and sit on the couch.

"Here, I'll pack for my dad." Carl gets up, pushes Jessica off and walks down the hall towards Rick's room.

You smile and pry Jessica into your lap. She laughs as you kiss her on the nose. Jessica squeezed you tight and you did the same. Its weird just relaxing with your little sister, just like the old times. The house looks normal, definitely not like it is in reality. You could be a normal family, but typically there weren't flesh-eating freaks outside.

Jessica and you both jumped at the sound of a very loud knock on the door. You look at Jessica and instuct her to go back into her room. As she runs away, you pull out your Spey that Rick's brown chest supplied. The peep-hole reveled it was just a Walker that had tripped into the door. Quickly, you open the door and pierce its head.

"What happened?"

You spin around, startled, to see Carl hiding Jessica behind him.

"Nothing, just a Walker." You say, cleaning off the knife with a rag from your waist.

Carl nods and turns around pulling Jessica with him. You sit down to take break, but then you realize, you have to pack the food. Dread floods your body as you pick up your body. Why in Hell did you offer to pack up the whole house? Nothing seems so exhausting, not even walking here.

To think that it has only been two years since Rick found in the woods. It was then that you realized you haven't told Rick nor Carl about how you came to be in that condition. Honestly, you have chosen to forget the memory, thinking that it wasn't important. Sooner or later either one of them will notice that the story still has yet to be shared.

The sound of footsteps catches your attention. Your reflex has taught you to pull your knife and turn around. The edge of your blade catches something, eating deep into what's caught in its grip. When you turn around, no one was standing there, instead, Jessica lay squirming, bleeding on the floor. Her face has a helpless, panicked look on it. As you inspect closer at her body you see her hands are covering a wound that is bleeding heavily.

"Jessica!" You scream.

You kneel down and grab the towel from your waist then put it to her neck and apply pressure. Her neck had a huge slit from left to right.

"Carl! Please come here!" You yell.

Carl comes running from around the corner. He looks at you then down at Jessica. Fear hits him like a ton of bricks before he starts to stammer.

"Go get the bag of medical supplies, hurry!"

You look down at Jessica and the pool of blood that is accumulating around your sister. Tears start to break the barriers and flow fluently imediately. When Carl finally comes back to you, You tell him to hold the now soaked rag to her neck. As he does, you grab the needle and some thread along with a bottle of whiskey on the counter.

You move Carl's hand from her wound and a wave of blood comes out. Through your blurred vision, you manage to pour some over the cut. Her arms twitch a little after you do it. The needle pierced her skin and you try to mend the wound. The sound of your heartbeat consumes you over rules every decision you make.

When the stab is semi-closed, you look at her face. Her eyes are stuck in the sadness and pain along with the rest of her face. Moments tick by before you notice that she didn't blink. Dispare caked your entire body and soul. Jessica lays there motionless, her body stuck in time. Everything that has happened has now happened for nothing. Every little memory you had of her decides its time now to come and haunt you.

Nothing is the same.
