Jess. P.O.V.

"You." Jess growled, gritting her teeth in anger and dropping the mask to the floor.

The person in front of her looked shocked for a moment, and then defeated. He grinned anyway, running a hand through his 'blond' hair.

"You caught me." He said, shrugging. Jess shook her head.

"What the hell Aiden?!" She cried out, stepping forward and grabbing him by his shirt collar. His lime eyes glinted with mischief.

"Still feisty," he replied, smiling slyly and unaffected. "I like it."

"Shut it, unless you want me to slap some sense into you." She retorted harshly. Then she pushed him back with a hard shove. He stumbled a bit, but then quickly regained his balance.

"I'm going to say this again; what the hell?!" Jess cried, putting her hands on her hip. "You pretended to be Lukas...and for what? Knowing you, there's probably a knife in your back pocket waiting to stab me."

She then folded her arms, eyes burning with rage, like a fire, crackling and fierce.

"Harsh." Said Aiden, a dark twinkle in his eyes. "I can't spend the night with someone I love?"

Jess froze at his words, a shock piercing her body.

"What?"

"You honestly thought I came here to do that? Get revenge?" He rolled his eyes. "The truth is right in your face Jess, you're just too much in denial to see it."

Aiden took a step forward as she took a step back.

"You don't love me," she finally spat, not looking at him. "You want me, those are two different things."

"Does it matter?" He asked, shrugging as he walked towards her, slowly. She slowly traveled back.

"If you love someone, you don't freaking disguise yourself as their lover! You talk to them! You know, like a regular person?" Jess cried, using her arms to make gestures.

"You of all people should know that I'm not just a regular person." He replied. "And besides, I fooled you for a good-thirty minutes."

She gave him a strange glare and then placed a hand on her forehead as if to face-palm.

"Oh Notch, you're such an idiot."

"Wait-you mean you knew?" He asked, surprised.

"Give the man a prize!" She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes and throwing her arms up in the air.

"But-how?"

"The punch. You came back empty handed. The way you talked. And you agreed when I said this necklace from my brother and called it 'nice.' I wouldn't expect that from the one who gave it to me." Jess grinned bitterly, touching the necklace with her fingers as Aiden closed his mouth from hanging.

"Then why just the reveal now? If you knew right from the beginning, why didn't you just do it then?" He asked, as Jess was silent.

"You knew it was me, yet you stayed with me, hung out with me. That must mean-you like me back." Aiden said slyly, as her eyes widened.

"What-?! No-!"

"Don't deny it Jess. You know you love me." He winked, stepping closer.

"I love Lukas! You prick-" Jess said, and then immediately froze. The thought struck her like lightning.

"Where is he?" She whispered, fear striking her body as thoughts rushed around in her brain. Jess looked at Aiden, wide-eyed. "Where the heck is he Aiden?!"

"Probably making out with someone else Jess. Come on, I'm way better than that slimeball-" His words stung. He put a hand to her chin and made her look up at him. "And I'm a better kisser too."

Aiden leaned in to kiss her, and Jess' rage exploded. Her hand clenched into a fist as she gave him a good punch to the face.

WHAM

CRACK

She felt a prick of satisfaction as she heard something break. Aiden let out a painful cry and fell to the floor, clutching his face and broken nose, blood starting to run down his face.

Jess grinned and cracked her knuckles.

"Never in a million years, jerk-face." She retorted, and then ran into crowd.

********************

Jess didn't care who she pushed past through, the rude remarks, or snide comments. She just needed to find him.

She took off her mask, forgetting she even had it on, and put it away. She needed to talk to Lukas face-to-face.

After a little while of looking she saw him. Blonde hair and mask standing out in the crowd. She quickly ran, her heart racing.

"Lukas!" She shouted, pushing and shoving her way past the people. "Lukas I-"

Jess stopped in her tracks and froze, a look of disbelief on her face. Her heart felt like stopping and her breaths turned short.

In front of her stood Lukas, bright blue eyes wide as a girl wrapped her arms around him and placed her lips on his.

So this is what happened before the girl kissed Lukas, but in Jess' P.O.V.. It led up to this point, if you're confused.

Also if you're wondering, I am still going to do Jetra and Axelivia P.O.V. later on in the story with a few chapters. I just wanted to focus on Lukesse for now :) toodles!
