-Chapter 3

Ivy's POV

I really hate talking about Michael the only thing I'm grateful for that's from him is my baby girl other than that I'm fine. The only thing we have to talk about is work and that's it.

I know my family feels he has a right know but I don't and I don't care what they have to say.

Today I'm taking Asia to see my co-worker and friend Shayla since she hasn't seen her in a while.

Getting up out of bed I go check on Asia when there is a knock at the door, I pick up Asia and make my way to the door of Ashley and I's apartment. Looking through the peep hole I see Michael, 'how did he get my address I thought.'

I opened the door "Mr. Mattson what are you doing here?" I ask opening the door so he could come in.

"Why are you being so formal with me?" He asked, I just looked at him scoffed and went to sit Asia down in her high chair.

"Mr. Mattson that doesn't answer my question? Did you get the rest of the work from Friday, I know finished it and sent it to you." I say walking in the kitchen to cut my baby some fruit.

"Ivy I'm serious." He says looking at me, he looks like he hasn't slept in days he doesn't look like the handsome, sexy, confident, egotistic guy I used to be in love with.

"So am I." I say giving Asia some cut up strawberries.

"I have been up for two days doing math and calculations, I even asked my mom how long does it take for an egg to be fertilized. It has been racking my brain since you left the office two weeks ago saying your daughter has a fever." He says rubbing his hands through his hair, 'oh god I'm not ready for this.' I thought to myself.

He walks towards me "Ivy I'm going to ask you a question and I want you to be honest with me okay, please that's all I ask." He says looking at me in my eyes, "Is She Mine?"

And there it is the question I have been dreading since I seen him that Friday. I didn't answer him I just went back to feeding Asia.

"Ivy please answer my question." He says pleading with me.

"Yes she is but she is fine I'm fine we're both fine and we don't need you." I say standing up to look at him, and he had a hurt, sad, but angry face.

"How could you not.........." I cut him off.

"Look Michael I gave you my virginity after only 3 months of dating. 2 months later I found out that I was pregnant, I wanted you to be the first person I told but when I went to your place to tell you, you were no where to be found. Now don't you dare say how could I have not told you, because you left without a trace not me." I say cleaning Asia's face.

"I know and I'm sorry but I need a DNA test to know for sure." He says looking at a smiling Asia in my arms.

"Fine you get your DNA test then you leave us alone got it." I say and he just looks at me sad, "so can please leave I have to get ready and I have to get my daughter ready." I say walking to the door and opening the door, he walks out the door, he turned around to say something to me but I shut the door in his face and went and got myself and Asia ready for the day.

Michael's POV

Man Ivy is still as beautiful as I remember and my daughter is so beautiful like her momma. Walking out of her apartment building I kept thinking if I never left how my life would be with Ivy.

I got in my car and called Nathan my brother.

"What's up bro." Nate says through the phone.

"Hey so where are you right now?" I asked as my driver hit the freeway.

"At mom and dad's why?"

"That's good because I need to tell you guys something."

"Oh Okay, wait is it about the girl you dated in college?" He asked

"Um yeah, wait how do you know?"

"Oh dad was talking about it one Friday saying how he saw you lusting after his old assistant that is your new assistant and then he said how you told him you dated her in college."

"Okay." was all I said then hung up well at least I don't have to explain how I have a daughter.

Getting to my parents house I get out the car and make my way towards the house. "Mom, Dad, Nate, Sophie where are you guys I have to tell you something." I yell walking in the living room to sit down, next thing you know my family comes in and sits down.

"What is it son?" My dad says

"Yeah I hope its important because I was not done with my beauty sleep." Sophie says and my mom thumps her and Sophie winced and started rubbing her head.

I sighed "okay I think I have a daughter."  I say looking at my family.

My family looked at me and smiled and I smiled back "So I asked her for a DNA test and we are going tomorrow."  I say and I see my mom's face fall from a smile to a frown.

"Why do not think the child is yours? Who is the girl?" My Mom asked.

"No I know the child is mine I just want reassurance and Ivy Owens." I say

"What!!! That cute little baby is yours. I'm sorry I need you to explain this to me." My dad says laughing.

"Um long story short we dated for 3 months she gave me her virginity and she said 2 months later she found out she was pregnant."

My family looked at me and smiled again "I'm happy for you son but you don't seem happy." My dad says.

I sighed "I'm happy I have a daughter but I think Ivy is not happy about me finding out or happy about me period." I explain and they looked at me confused.

"What do you mean?" Nate asked.

"Um the day I left for the problem I didn't say anything, I didn't leave a number or any sort of trace for her to talk to me." I say and the look on my mom's face I realized what did was bad.
