-Chapter 15

Ivy's POV

2 weeks later....

"Mommy!" I hear as I'm cooking dinner for Michael, Asia and I because Asia and I decided to move in with Michael and give Ashley and Issac the apartment we shared since their having a baby in a few weeks.

"Yes baby?" I say as I stir the sauce in the spaghetti, then I hear little feet walk in the kitchen and I turn around to see Asia with her Minnie mouse bear.

"Mommy I hungee." She says rubbing her eyes, I smiled and picked her up "looks like somebody is sleepy." I say as she put head in between my neck.

As I sit Asia in her high chair my phone starts ringing and without looking at the ID I answered walking back into the kitchen "Hello" I say grabbing plates and the food.

"Ivy I swear I'm going to kill your brother if he leaves one more pair of his draws on the floor I promise you he gone come up missing." I hear Ashley say making me laugh because every since she became pregnant everything he does annoys her, and she kind of reminds me of me when I was pregnant with Asia everything and everyone irritated me.

"Why are you laughing I'm serious he is working my nerves and get this he threw away my rocky road ice cream stupid!" She says even more angry.

"Okay whoa calm down and you can come over here I made spaghetti and I have rocky road ice cream." I say trying to calm her down and ease her nerves.

"Isn't Michael home?"

"No he isn't home yet and wont be for a few hours he sent me a text and voicemail on the house phone letting me know the meeting for new fashion lines ran long as I knew they would, so please come over I need some company." I say cutting up Asia's spaghetti.

"Okay I'm on my way." and the phone clicks meaning she hung up.

After Ashley showed up we ate dinner I gave Asia a bath, cleaned up the kitchen now all 3 of us well the 2 of us because Asia is sleep on my chest right now so, we're sitting in the living room watching Ride Along talking.

"Are you sure it's okay for me to stay here tonight I don't wanna intrude." Ashley says eating her ice cream.

"Yes it's fine and I miss our sleepovers since we don't stay in the same house anymore." I say pouting rubbing Asia's back.

"Awe me too." She says and we share a laugh. "Ivy it's getting kind of late shouldn't Michael be home by now." Ashley says making me look at the clock.

I lay Asia down on the couch and pick up the house phone and call Michael's office. Did I forget to mention I stopped working for Michael because I'm in the process of opening up my clothing stores and my hair and nail shop.

"Hi Gabe it's Ivy is Mr. Matteson still in the office?" I ask pacing the living room with the phone to my ear.

"No he left an hour ago he said he missed his family and left for home on his way to you." He says making me start to get nervous.

"Are you sure because if he left an hour ago he should've been home by now right?" I say in a panic and by now Ashley has put down her ice cream and paused the movie.

"Yes I'm sure but I can check the office again."

"Yes please?" I ask still pacing the room as I listen in on Michael's assistant walk into his office.

"No he left."

"Okay thank you." As soon as I got off the phone with Gabe I called Michael and no answer.

"Ashley he's not answering why isn't he answering!" I say now in a full on panic, she gets up and comes over to me.

"Shh breathe try calling again and if he doesn't answer then we will make some calls okay?" She says as I took a breath.

I tried calling him again and again and again and nothing. By now Ashley has called everybody and now everyone is here at Michael and I's penthouse making calls trying to find him.

"I can't breathe mom I can't breathe." I say hyperventilating, my mom comes over and sits next me and rubs my back.

"Hey, hey breathe, I need you to breathe baby girl." She says

Danielle's POV

"Ivy honey I need you to breathe okay calm down take a breath." I say trying to calm my daughter down but it only works for a few seconds.

"How can I calm down it's now going on 3 in the morning and nobody's heard anything its been 4 hours and nothing." She says as tears start to fall.

"Okay, okay." I say calming her down and now she is breathing normally but I know she is still scared hell I would be too.

"Okay so I just talked to a buddy of mine and he said Michael's car was last seen on the freeway." My husband says making us all gasp.

"Okay then where is he?" Ashley asks making us all nod our heads.

"Oh God I think I'm going to be sick." Ivy says getting up and running to the bathroom. I get up and go follower her.

Ivy's POV

As the dinner and dessert I had last night comes up leaving me empty, after I have had enough I rinse my mouth out and I start crying and then I hear a knock on the door.

"Ivy baby girl are you okay?" I hear my mom ask on the other side of the door.

I sniffle "yeah I'm fine I'll be right out." I say rinsing my face.

I leave the bathroom and walk back to the living room when my dad comes up to me "okay so Michael was on his way home when a black SUV ran him off the road and into a tree." He says and I feel my heart drop to me feet and more tears fall from my eyes. "Authorities found him because a car was driving by and seen the tire tracks from his truck." I wipe my tears.

"Okay so where is he now?" I say still wiping tears that refuse to stop falling.

"He's at the hospital, he just got there." My dad says as I start putting my shoes on.

"Okay let's go." I say grabbing my phone and wallet and walking out the door.
