Knock
KnockI pushed Dinah away from me. My mind clouded with thoughts. I walked over to the wardrobe. Everything on the rack was different ranges of reds. Shoes, skirts, dresses, and more. Dinah sat back down in her chair with a smirk plastered on her face. I can't believe I just did that. I just kissed a girl, well she kissed me. A girl I think I like just kissed me. Ugh. Why does this stuff always have to be complicated? The gentle knock was placed on the door again.
"Come in." Dinah spoke up. I turned back towards the rack. "Hey, what up kiddo." It was Kristen, I could tell by her voice. I glanced over my shoulder. She held onto the back of Dinah's seat.
"Nothing. I just want to get this shoot over with so we can head out to party." Kristen laughed and I smiled turning around.
"Sorry to inform you. You won't be doing any partying until you are 21. So steer clear of the booze. Got it."
"Sure." You could hear the playfulness in the girl's voice. As I looked through the outfits a cute blazer caught my eye. I picked out a velvet skirt and grabbed a black choker, decorated with white pearls, to go with it.
"You're very quiet." Kristen walked up next to me. She looked at my hands and took the clothes from me. "And I can see why. Nice outfit choice for your first time." She put the skirt back and a grabbed a pair of pantsuit pants and a gold choker to go along with the one I chose. Kristen really is a genius. "You like." She said more as a statement than a question.
"I love." Dinah and her began to laugh. Dinah grabbed the outfit from Kristen.
"I'll be heading out." Kristen walked over to the door. "Dinah come see me after you change. You've got about 10 minutes." Dinah shook her head yes and started to take off her shirt. I covered my face with my hands. "I can leave if you want me to. I-I just don't w-want to in-intrude." A faint laughter was let out into the air. "You staying won't bother me." She removed my hands from my face. I nodded and started playing with the ends of my shirt. Her hand lifted my chin.
Heat rushed to my cheeks, leaving my face blazing red. I tried to speak but failed. I covered my face again. "U-uh, I-I think I should g-go." I started to ramble while I made my way to the door. "I mean you um... I'll just," I bumped into the door, hitting my head. "Fudge. I'm okay, I think" I felt for the knob. Opening the door quickly, leaving embarrassed. I closed it as fast as possible and facepalmed myself. I swear I heard Dinah's sweet giggles coming from the other side. I have no game at all.
"Babycakes!" I open my eyes, seeing Ashley running up next to me. She opened her arms pulling me into a bear hug. I hugged her back. "Hey Ash." She was about to squeeze the life out of me, so I tried to push her away. She didn't budge. "Ashley, let go." I patted her back. "Let go. You just saw me earlier." She removed her arms and I took a big breath. "You might be my best friend, but that doesn't mean I would think twice about kicking your booty."
She hooked her arm with mine and started to head down the hall. "You're so cute. Just say ass like everyone else." I rolled my eyes at her and opened the door leading out to the photo shoot. "I'm not like everyone else." I looked around and saw Kristen. She waved me over. And pointed to the girls in front of her. "I'll see you later. Kristen's calling me over." She shook her head yes. I unhooked our arms and walked over to the blonde. As I did the three girls, standing next to her, caught my eye. They were all wearing the same red as Dinah, so I was sure they were apart of the group.
"Okay. Girls this is Y/N." As Kristen introduced me, I waved. "Hey," they all said in unison. I'm a little shocked and disappointed with myself right about now. I have no social life and I barley leave my house. How did I not know about these girls? "I'm Ally." The shortest one said. She has toned caramel skin. Next the girl standing next to her spoke. "I'm Lauren." When I turned to look at her, I was mesmerized by her beautiful green eyes. "And I'm Normani." The mahogany toned girl said. She has long black hair and a genuine smile spread across her face. "Lastly there's Dinah, but she's late. I'm not surprised." I giggled at her comment. "Aww, you're so cute." Normani reached over to squeeze my cheeks, but her hand was swatted away.
