"Ashley, what in the world? I thought you said I would thank you." I mimicked her voice as I looked at the scene around us. We were in someone's tour bus and it was crammed with staff members. The air was filled with smoke and loud music poured into the room. "Oh, can it Y/N." I furrowed my eyebrows at her. "You need to let loose. Plus Dinah's here. I can tell that you like her." Ashley gave me a knowing look before spotting Bella talking with the guy from wardrobe Bobi. "You can go be with your boo thing. I'll be fine." She smiled. "Cool. But let's get one thing straight, she's not my boo." I waved her off. "Whatever." Ashley is definitely not the one who is ever in a relationship, but I can see the way she looks at Bella like she can see the way I look at Dinah. But unlike me, she's not afraid to go after what she wants.
I walked my way through people over to a table set up with snacks and a cooler. I opened the red cooler and looked for a bottle of water only to find cans of beer and soda. I settled for a grape soda when someone reached for the same drink as me. "Oh sorry," I looked up into the familiar honey colored eyes of the girl who caught me daydreaming. "Perfectly okay, kid." She picked up the drink and handed the cold can to me. "Here you go." I took it and looked down. "Thanks." I still didn't see Dinah, which only made me want to leave even more. "You okay, kid?" I started to laugh. "Why do you keep calling me kid?" I turned my head and faced the taller girl. "You're the youngest person here. Aren't you? Plus, it suits you."
"I guess so, but my birthday is in a few weeks. This kid will be an adult." She smirked and walked closer to me. "Can't wait, kid." I rolled my eyes as she walked off. I still didn't know her name and I'm surprised she even talked to me. She seems like someone you don't want to get involved with, so I'm going to stay away.
I lost all color from my face as someone abruptly stumbled into me. I could tell it was the girl I've been missing this whole night. As she fell I grabbed her arms, but I took a wrong step. We both ended up in a heap on the floor. Dinah on top of me and I couldn't do anything but laugh. The blonde joined in and her eyes twinkled. "I've been looking for you, coffee girl." I leaned on my elbows and rose up a little, becoming eye level with her. "Well, you found me. By the way, being covered in grape soda is way better than hot coffee." We both laughed again and Dinah helped me up. A few people were looking at us, but I didn't care. Dinah must have because she put some distance between us. My heart dropped a little and I looked down. "Hey," she touched my shoulder. "Do you want to get cleaned up?" I noticed those honey colored eyes looking at me from across the room. I turned towards Dinah. "Yeah, sure. But, can we leave?" She took my hand and started to head for the door. Trying to keep things with Dinah a secret is already a task, but now I feel like it's a repeat of my first relationship.
. . .
"Snap out of it Y/N. You're always in there." Dinah poked my head and I smiled. "My minds always running." She stepped closer to me and held my hand. "What's wrong? I'm sorry for what happened back there." We were walking around the other buses. "No, it's not that. It's just the hiding. It's not something I'm okay with." She stopped and traced my lips lightly with her finger. My face warmed as she came closer. "I don't like hiding either. I like you Y/N and my heart goes crazy when I'm near you." She lifted my hand to her chest and I laughed. "You're not alone." I placed her hand over my beating heart. She smiled and began laughing. "You look hot covered in grape soda. Purples my favorite color." I pushed her shoulder. "Yeah? Well, don't make habit of spilling drinks on me."
"Whatever you want, coffee girl." She smiled and poked the tip of my nose. "Come here," I took a step closer to the blonde as she reached for my hand. "Look over there." I did as she said and saw an abandoned golf cart. One of the security guards must have left it there. I turned my attention back to Dinah. She had that mischievous look in her eyes and I already knew what she wanted to do. "No. No way. You need to stop coming up with these ideas." She gasped dramatically and placed her free hand over her chest. "You don't even know what I was going to say. I could just want to go back to your bus, but let's steal the golf cart." She lifted up our connected hands and started to pull on my arm. I gave Dinah the best glare I could muster up. "You're lucky I like you." She let out a small laugh. "Very lucky." I ran with her over to the cart as the moon was starting to shine brightly. "Now, we need the keys." I tried my best to look around in the dark. Then I saw a security jacket was lying in the back of the cart. "Maybe they're in here." I reached for the thin jacket and checked the first pocket. It was empty and then I checked the second. "Got them!" I lifted up the ring of keys. "Looks like Ron forgot his keys." I read his name off the jacket and threw it in the back as I hopped in the passenger seat. "I'm glad he did. I hope we'll return this without a scratch." I squinted my eyes at Dinah as she sat down next to me. "What do you mean hope?" She gave me an innocent look as she fiddled with putting the keys into the ignition switch. I reached over and did it for her without trouble. "Maybe I should drive." She placed her hands on the wheel and I was starting to wish this thing had seatbelts. "It's just a golf cart. I got this."
I looked up at the blonde's face and raised my eyebrows at her. "Yeah, you definitely have this." I put on a small smile and hoped that what I said was the truth. Dinah winked at me and turned the key in the switch. We immediately took off. I was trying to stay calm, but a girl who doesn't have her license is attempting to drive a stolen golf cart. I've definitely gotten myself into another troublesome situation with Dinah. We were going at a pretty fast rate and making our way through the parked tour buses in the lot. I let out a few squeals here and there, but sometime during the ride, I scooted closer to the outgoing girl sitting next to me. I could feel the blonde tense up a little bit tried to play it off by speeding up even more. "Dinah, what are you doing?! I will never let you drive anytime again!" All the tall girl could do was laugh at my not so intimidating comments. "Oh, coffee girl..." Dinah looked over to me and the twinkle of the stars matched the one in her eyes. I felt an uncontrollable smile appear on my face and I poked Dinah's cheek. She let out an adorable laugh and as she was about to speak, I turned my head and began to hit the blonde's arm. "Brakes! Now!" She slammed hard on the brakes slamming us back in the golf cart. "Owww!" I felt an instant pain jolt through my body but turned my attention over to Dinah.
I grabbed the back of my neck and saw the blonde holding her head. "What hurts?" I tried to ask calmly and rested my free hand on her thigh. "Um... Honestly everything, but I guess above my eye." I removed her hands and I felt her gaze on me the whole time. She had a small cut right above her left eyebrow. "That looks like it hurts. We need to go get this cleaned up." I moved my hand to rest on her cheek. "I'm actually okay. I think. Does it at least look badass?" I let out a giggle and she held a straight face twisting her lips. "I'm serious." I squeezed her thigh and stood from the cart, which was a huge mistake. "You look adorable as usual, but now with a little battle scar from an almost golf cart accident." She smiled brightly and placed a quick kiss on my cheek. "I'll take it." The tall girl leaned back and exited the small vehicle from the driver's seat and walked over to me. Dinah held my hand and we turned around one last time to look at the scene we created. We both broke out into a fit of laughter. The golf cart was seconds and inches away from crashing into the side of the barely noticeable building. "Now aren't you glad Ron forgot his belongings?" I faced the girl. "Not really, but getting you flustered back there was the best part." The blonde pulled me closer and rested her forehead against my own. "Seeing you happy was the best part."
. . .
I sat up in Dinah's bed trying to be as gentle as I can with her, but every time I dabbed her cut with the cloth she slightly flinched. It was deeper than it appeared and the pout on the girl's face in front of me was only making me distracted. "Dinah, I'm almost done okay? I'm sorry it hurts so bad, but your badass title has definitely been stripped away." She scoffed and a little smirked played on my lips. "Not even you, baby girl, can take that away from me. I got this cut from saving you, remember?" I stopped caring for the small gash above her eyebrow and placed my hands in my lap. "You did no such thing. You almost killed us both, remember?" I reached over in the first aid kit I found in the bathroom cabinet and pulled out a band-aid. I let out a silent laugh because it was covered in rainbows and unicorns. "Did not. I think I surprised you as well as myself with my driving skills." I finished placing the unicorn band-aid on Dinah's forehead and placed a kiss right on top of it. "You definitely surprised me, until that almost crash."
"You won't let me forget. Will you?" She pulled me on her lap, one leg on each side. "The fact that it just happened, nope." She let out a cute giggle. "Is it bad that I'm wondering if you taste like grape soda?" I rested my arms on her shoulders. "No, I don't think so." She smirked and tilted her head to the side. She pulled me into her and our lips crushed together. I tilted my head upward, deepening the kiss. It wasn't like our other kisses, which is what I liked about it. The way her soft, warm lips connected with mine. It was different. I opened my mouth with a low moan. Her gentle hands trailed down to my lower back as I deepened the kiss. I tangled my hands in the blonde's short hair and a smile started to spread on Dinah's face, finally, we pulled apart. I could still feel her lips on mine and I still wanted to. "You do taste like grape soda and that tickled." I began to smile and kissed her shoulder before resting my head there. "What are thinking about?" She laid back on the bed and I got comfortable on top of her. "You. Always. Kissing you. Cuddling you. Doing crazy things with you." I gave her a peck on the cheek. "I think about you all the time too." The warm feeling I get from being with Dinah was present. "Cuddles and movie time?" I was about to agree until I noticed a pair of keys on the floor. I got off of Dinah and looked down. "Dinah! We're screwed."
