Slowly, I uncovered my face and blinked. I rolled over and felt for the missing comfort that is usually keeping me warm. I let out a sigh as I realized she wasn't there and rubbed my knuckles onto eyes. I sat up and dragged my feet off the bed, dangling my legs above the carpet. I was snapped out of my hazy state when I heard what sounded like a fall, followed by a swear. I knew that was Dinah and a smile immediately made its way on my face. She stumbled out of the bathroom and I let out a laugh. Her head turned to me and she smiled, turning around to close the door. "I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?" She walked over to me and I stood up, making my way to her. "Don't worry. You didn't." I placed my hands on her hips. "Where are you going?" I asked her and played with a strand of her curled hair. "To the bands' bus, they're having a few people over." I pushed her shoulder back. "And you didn't ask me? I am offended." I put on a fake pout. "I knew you wouldn't want to go. Plus, you looked so adorable and peaceful sleeping. I wasn't going to wake you."
I smirked and a pink tint spread on her cheeks. I was now playing with her hair on the back of her neck and pulled her close to me. Dinah's hands trailed down my waist and we both leaned in sharing a kiss. "Change of plans, I'm going. I don't think, I can be away from you now that you've kissed me."
"Oh really? I would love to have you come with me. It's a date." She winked and I knew my face was on fire. She let out a small laugh and I rolled my eyes. "And I don't want our first date to be a stupid party." Her hands ran down my arms until they found my own. She brought them to her lips and laid a kiss on my fingertips. "Now don't you worry. I already have something special planned." She smirked and the butterflies in my stomach only grew as I got lost in her eyes.
"I'm going to get ready. Don't leave without me, DJ." She rolled her eyes and fell back on the bed. "I wouldn't dream of it."

I was standing against the wall, playing with my bracelets and watching everyone around me. It was more than a few people here, but I expected that. Once I entered with Dinah, she was pulled away from me and I haven't found her since. My attention went over to Ashley, but she was so occupied with Bella to notice anyone else. I began to realize I couldn't have that with Dinah, at least not any time soon. Sneaking around is one thing and if we get caught the outcome won't be good for either of us. Thinking about this was only making me sad. I pushed off of the wall and made my way over to the drinks.
The bracelets on my wrist jangled as I reached for a cup. There was a bowl of what I'm guessing fruit punch, but I could smell vodka in the mix. "What do you think you're doing, kid?" I internally groaned and looked up at Penny. "May I help you?" I poured the punch in my cup and took a sip, the liquid burned as it traveled down my throat. She laughed and smirked. "Love the attitude as always." I squinted my eyes and hit her shoulder as I walked passed her. She reached for my arm and I stopped. "You didn't answer the question, Penny. What do you want?" I said as I faced her. Her hand traveled down my arm for my hand and before I could realize she was leading me to a room in the back. Once she closed the door, I pushed her off of me.
"Get off of me! I've asked you plenty of times what do you want and you haven't answered, so back off." She ran her hand through her hair and I crossed my arms around my waist. "Y/N, I just wanted to talk, nothing else. Okay?" I didn't really believe her. I leaned against the door and could hear the faint music from outside. Pink Matter by Frank Ocean began to play and I wished I was with the only girl I want to be around. "Talk?" She nodded her head and her eyes wandered everywhere. Now I was finding it very hard to believe her. "That night," The slur of her words was becoming evident.
"That night meant nothing." I didn't let her finish her sentence. She scoffed and ran her hand through her curly hair for the second time. "I can't believe you, kid. I just thought. You know what, it doesn't even matter. Plus, I know you have blondie wrapped around your finger." I rolled my eyes and placed my hand on the door handle. She was trying to hit a nerve, but it wasn't working.
Before I could open the door Penny was in front of me and her honey eyes weren't so welcoming. "What are you doing?" She removed my hand from the handle and lifted my chin. A cold chill went down my spine. "Don't play games with me, kid because I will come back ten times harder. Your secret won't be so secret." I could smell the alcohol on her breath and pushed her as far as I could. She fell back and tried to get up, but only stumbled over again. "Stay the hell away from me!" I quickly turned and opened the door, slamming it as I ran out. People standing by turned their attention towards me as I rushed by them to the bathroom. I leaned against the door as it shut, looking at my reflection in the mirror.
I'm not scared of Penny, but her words put fear in me. Threatening me is one thing, but threatening to expose the relationship I just got with Dinah is another. She's definitely drunk, so she probably didn't even know what she was saying, but I wish she hadn't said it at all. I know we're not the closest, but at least she has respect for me or so I thought. I can't lose Dinah. At least not now and hopefully never.
I watched as a tear made its way down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away when the door jolted open. My heart sped up like I had been caught doing something I wasn't supposed to. I focused on the girl who came inside and rushed over to her as I realized it was Dinah, but her eyes were puffy and she walked passed me like I wasn't there. "Why are you here?" Dinah sounded angry, but I didn't know why. I faced the blonde, trying to understand her harsh tone towards me. "I needed a placed to... clear my head." She looked up at me with cold eyes and I looked down. "I saw you." I squinted and folded my arms. "Saw me?" The tall girl made her way towards me. "Yes, saw you. With Aspen." She saw me with Penny. I just don't understand why she's so defensive. "She dragged me back and... just made me upset." I wasn't going to tell her what Penny said. I knew it would only make her even angrier and start an even bigger mess.
"I hate that bitch. Always thinks she runs everything around her." I was still trying to figure out why Dinah mentioned she saw me. A smile spread on my face as I realized she's jealous. I interrupted her ongoing rant about Penny and walked closer to her.
"You're jealous." She rolled her eyes and leaned against the sink. "Please, I don't get jealous." We both stared into each other's eyes seemingly. "You and I both know that's a lie." I was now face to face with the tall girl and brushed her hair behind her shoulder. My hand rested behind her neck and I could feel her tentative gaze on my every move. "But it's not." She whispered in my ear and I let out a breath. Dinah pressed her body up against me and her hands held my waist. I looked into her eyes, my hand on her cheek. She took that as a sign to lean in and kiss me, but as I felt the brush of her lips she turned me around. My back now against the sink and she was still pressed against me.
"You're something else." She lifted me up on the small cold sink and rested her head on mine. "I'm your something else." I laughed and my head fell back on the mirror. "Owww!" I rubbed the back of my head as Dinah just continued to laugh. She fell on her knees, her hands on my thighs. "It's not funny." I pushed her shoulder back. "Baby, that was hilarious." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, putting on a fake pout. "Hey," Dinah stood up and moved in closer to me. I averted my eyes, but her hand held my cheek and I fell into her gentle touch.
"You're so annoying." I tried to hide my smirk as she nuzzled my nose. "Am I?" I nodded my head and she held her hand to her chest, letting out a gasp. "Well then," I stood and wrapped my arms around her waist. "No, you don't need your annoying jealous girlfriend." I looked up at her with a pout, but then smiled. "Ha! So, you are jealous." She laughed and kissed my nose. "I love you." I pulled her closer and kissed her cheek. "I love you too."
There was a quiet, but a noticeable sound from the door. We quickly moved apart and looked at one another. Dinah walked over to the door, which we hadn't locked and was now open. "Shit." I walked over to her. "Maybe, you forgot to close it." She shut the door and let out a harsh breath. "Maybe. But, what was that noise." I shrugged my shoulders and twisted my lips. I hoped no one saw us. At least no one who would tell. "DJ, don't worry about it. I'm sure it was nothing. There's a whole party happening out there. Okay?" She nodded her head and reached for my hand. I needed her comfort too.
