"Calling out father hold fast and we will, watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side."

Brooke walked in the back of the group beside Minho as she tried to gather her thoughts.

She knew she had to talk to Aris about her dream but she was chickening out.

She decided that having Minho glare daggers at her the whole time she walked was better than facing reality and having her talk with Aris.

Or worse having to face Thomas. She knows he doesn't believe what she told him last night and she seen the concerned glances he gave her.

The brunette didn't feel daggers being glared into her side anymore, so looked over at Minho to see him opening up his flask only to see it was empty and chuck it to the ground with a glare.

Brooke chuckled at his I hate the world attitude and went to pick up his flask. She took her own out of her bag and poured some of her water into his then extended her arm out to him.

"You shouldn't throw it away, you never know when we might come across water."

His eyes softened for a second looking from the flask to her, then they hardened again. He snatched the object out of her hands and mumbled a small thanks.

Sure it was rude, but it was a start and Brooke knew that down under his cold exterior he was a softie and a loyal person.

She nodded her head in recognition to his mumbled gratitude and they continued to walk in silence for a while before he turned to her, "What's wrong with you?"

The comment took her aback and she stumbled a bit, "What?" He pointed to her face, "You're torn about something, you've had that frown on your face since you woke up and you seem like your not really here."

He then turned his head, "Not that I care or anything, just felt the obligation to ask since you gave me some of your water."

A small smile broke out onto Brooke's face and she hummed, "You ever find out something important, and you know you should tell that person but your scared it might ruin the relationship you have with them?"

Minho looked at her weirdly, "No, well I mean maybe, I don't remember anything, no thanks to WCKD, so I cant say I've felt that way."

Brooke looked down to the ground and kicked a rock, "I don't remember much of anything either, all the stuff I do know are just lies fed to me by Janson."

She said his name with such disgust Minho had to do a double take. She looked up at him and offered him a smile, "Thanks for listening to me, even though you don't care or whatever."

He gave her a nod and watched as she walked faster to catch up with Aris. When Brooke got to her destination she tugged lightly on his jacket, "C-Can I talk to you?"

At the sound of her voice Thomas quickly turned his head to look at the girl. He felt a pang of jealousy hit him, what was she going to tell Aris that she couldn't tell him?

He had a feeling it was about last night and the just made the pain in his chest worse.

Aris gave her a concerned look and nodded both of them falling out of step with the others. Brooke put her hands in her pocket and looked down, "Do you remember anything about your life before WCKD?"

Aris was slightly surprised by her question and blinked rapidly, "I see bits and pieces sometimes, I can never really put faces to them though."

"I've been having dreams." At the sound of that sentence Aris head perked up and he stared at the girl waiting for her to continue.

"They're memories, and I had one last night. It was of the car accident that killed my parents except."

Brooke stopped her self and took a shaky breath preparing to say the thing that would change her relationship with Aris forever.

"There was a boy there, my brother, you."

Aris' mouth gaped open then closed he looked at her then looked away, "I know."

Brooke stopped, he knew? She was scared this whole time to tell him something he already knew.

"You-but-why didn't you tell me?"

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, "I wanted to, I really did. The first night we met I was so happy to see you again, but then I talked to you and realized you had no clue, so I decided it would be better if you found out on your own."

Brooke stayed silent after Aris finished his statement and it made him nervous, "I'm sorry. I just- I didn't know how you'd take it and I wanted to protect you, but now that I'm saying that-"

Aris was cut off by Brooke enfolding him in a hug. Aris stood frozen for a second before he hugged her back pushing away the tears that threatened to fall from his eyes.

"I don't care that you didn't tell me. You're here now, we're together, its what they would have wanted."

Aris knew who she was talking about. The they she meant was her parents and a tear fell down his cheek.

The broke apart and Aris was going to say something else but shouting made them turn their heads alarmed.

Brooke gave Aris a looks before she sprinted off to where the others were crowded around something.

When she got closer she saw a boy laying on the ground falling in and out of consciousness.

"Winston!"

Brooke pushed through the crowd and made her way to him. She gasped and held back her gag. He had his shirt up to show a spot on his stomach.

It was dark and bruised with black veins sticking out of it. Brooke gulped, she knew what was going to happen to him and there was nothing they could do.

He looked at all of them, "I got it when I was helping fry, one of those things bit me." He was holding back tears, "I'm going to die aren't I?"

Everyone was silent looking at the boy with pity. Brooke swallowed the lump in her throat and stood, "No."

Everyone turned their attention to the Chamberlin girl, "No, you're not." She turned around and grabbed various sticks and cloth tying them together.

Everyone watched but after a while Teresa got the hint and walked over to her Brooke as she attempted to make a stretcher for the sick boy.

When she finished they helped Winston on it and picked up and end of the stick carrying him as they continued their journey.

Thomas looked back at Brooke and she gave him a reassuring smile, but he knew.

With just one look in her eyes he knew she was lying. Winston wasn't going to be okay.
