Chapter 10

mark heard the commotion and decided to come inside 2jae's room. he saw jaebum who was knocking on the bathroom door calling for youngjae.

he went towards the latter, "what happened?" mark asked and jaebum looked at him with guilt written on his face.

"i...think i said something too harsh.." jaebum explained and mark sighed. he motioned jaebum to back away from the door and the said boy obeyed his hyung.

"youngjae?" mark called and he heard shuffling noises inside. "m-mark-hyung?" youngjae sniffed. mark smiled sadly and pitied the innocent child.

"come out, let's go get ice cream?" mark suggested and soon, youngjae opened the door slowly. he saw jaebum standing behind mark looking guilty as he started feeling emotional again.

"mark-hyung!" youngjae cried again and wrapped his arms around the said boy as mark wrapped an arm around his waist and the other rubbing his back.

"sshhh, it's okay sweetie." mark cooed and for some reason, jaebum felt annoyed when mark called his baby boy sweetie.

youngjae calmed and snuggled his head on mark's chest. "now, lets go get you some ice cream baby." mark said as he helped youngjae walk out of the room.

"c-can i get a c-cookies and c-cream..?" youngjae asked and mark nodded. "anything for youngjae."

youngjae smiled as both of them both headed to the ice cream parlor across their building.

jaebum ruffled his hair in frustration. extreme regret flooding inside him. he wanted to be the one to take youngjae out for ice cream, not some red haired giraffe.

he went inside the bathroom and took a shower, going out and wearing his usual clothes.
