Cindy was all alone. She was sat at a set of tables and chairs under the shade of a willow tree, her nose buried deep into the depths of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child". There was no one near her, and all was silent, just the way that she liked it.
There was a slight breeze swirling through the early spring air that carried the smell of freshly bloomed flowers. Cindy couldn't help but let out a sigh of content. It had been 8 years since she had visited this place, and right now she was wondering why she ever left in the first place.
"You can't sit out here forever you know" The soft voice of her fiancée floated on the wind, lighter than feather, as she sat down next to Cindy and peered over her shoulder.
"Oh, but I can" She replied, dog-earing her book and placing it on the table. She let her head fall to her fiancées shoulder.
For 5 minutes both of them sat there, watching the way the sunlight danced against the water in a way that can only be described as grace.
"Hey Cindy?" She finally spoke up, but was met with no reply.
She looked down a Cindy, resting against her body with her eyes softly shut and her body moving to the rhythm of her breath.
"Never leave me Cindy" She whispered, planting a soft kiss on top of her head and lifting her tiny frame with ease. She scooped up the book in the crook of her elbow and carried Cindy all the way to their car.
The drive home was a slow and careful one, as the woman made sure to avoid any potholes on the road so that she wouldn't wake her sleeping beauty.
When she finally arrived home, she once again lifted Cindy and carried her all the way to their bedroom. She shifted Cindy into one arm and peeled back the covers with the other, and even though it was noon, they both had lay there, letting the hum of each other's breath rock them into a deep sleep.
