Once Morro started he's train to be the master of wind, he wished that title and to be the most powerful warrior on Ninjago. But, the destiny had anothers plans for him and then he let the teachings of sensei Wu, to finally to finish in the cursed realm.
When he went out was searching for revange, possessing the actual green ninja. "A simple brat turn to be the green ninja, pathetic" The ghost think with some jelousy. But the days pass, the boy started to be more stronger than his possession and started to get free, but Morro need a master of spinjitzu to search the thum, and withouth a master of that tecnic, he can't do it.
But then, one idea get in his mind, saw Lloyd's memories, one of the ninjas that he battle, passed and still pass the same thing that him, jealousy for the brat for take away the place to be the green ninja.
