~Asher~
"Harper, why do you have to do this every morning? It's either you or Harry and I don't understand why you have to be constantly making messes," I say with exasperation heavy in my voice.
I'm still cleaning up the cereal mess while Harper just plays in it.
"Elizabeth or Levi I need your help!" I yell up the stairs for one of my siblings.
Levi comes downstairs rubbing his eyes from just getting woken up by my yelling."
"What?" He says questioningly.
"Can you get Harper please and clean her up?" I say in desperation.
"Can't Ella? I need to eat breakfast."
"No, I asked you to. Besides, Ella has Harry."
"Uh, no she doesn't. He's sliding down the stairs now."
I look up the stairs and, sure enough, there's Harry sliding backward down the stairs on his stomach.
"Ugh! Ella, I thought you had Harry?!"
"I did but he wanted to leave!"
"Okay, come downstairs cause' I'm not yelling anymore!"
I can hear her groan even from downstairs then footsteps stomping down the hallway that leads to the staircase.
"What do you want?" she asks crossing her small arms over her chest.
"Okay, first don't talk to me like that. Second I need you to get Harper and clean her up. She has milk all over her shirt and it's soaked up into her diaper," I say getting mad at her.
"Ugh, fine if I have to."
She takes her off the table. Just as she does I hear a scream coming out of the schoolroom and look up to see that Kaden managed to sneak off while I was arguing with Ella.
"Levi, watch Harry please."
"Alright," Is all he says before grabbing Harry and sitting on the couch to watch TV.
I walk into the school room to see what happened and see Kyla holding her head while crying.
"What happened?" I ask concerned while walking over to Kyla.
"Racheal hit me on da head," She says crying.
"Kyla, you are Racheal."
"I'm Racheal?" She asks not crying as hard anymore.
"Yes, your name is Kyla Racheal Clark."
"Oh."
"Did Kaden hit you?" I ask starting to get suspicious.
"No, Racheal did," She says trying to convince me.
Not getting anywhere with her, I decide to ask Kaden.
"No," He says wide-eyed after I ask shaking his head while slowly backing away.
"Well, uh, Ky are you sure Kaden didn't hit you?" I ask the now sniffling three-year-old.
"No, Racheal did."
"Grrr, okay well go sit and watch TV with Levi okay."
"Otay," They both say and leave the room.
I shake my head and go to the living room to see all eight of my siblings sitting on the couch watching the original Teen Titans.
Now I know what you're thinking and yes I have eight siblings all of them younger than me. There are four boys and four girls not including me, Levi who is eleven, almost 12, Elizabeth is ten, Emmet is nine, Qiana is seven, Kyla and Kaden who are twins they are three, and Harry and Harper also twins they are one, almost two.
Then there's me. I'm the oldest at fifteen –almost sixteen, I'm 5'5 I have glasses and blonde, almost brown, hair and green eyes. I play volleyball and read a TON of books. Oh, and I am basically OBSESSED with Supernatural.
We live in a 2 story house brown house that my dad built when my mom was pregnant with me out in the country of a little town called Goodness Idaho. We live with my dad, Flint, my biological mom, Macie, and my second mom, Angeline. The reason I have a 'second mom' is that my dad is polygamous. Which, in short, means the husband is married to two women, or more, at the same time. My mom and dad met Angeline on SisterWife.net - it's basically a dating site where you can meet other people that want to be polygamous too. Angie came into the family when I was nine and has been here ever since. I remembered the first day she got here.
~Flashback 6 years ago~
I walk into the house with my pink backpack on from just staying the night at my cousins' house.
"I'm home," I call my voice barely a squeak from being a newly turned nine-year-old.
Nobody answered so I just shrug my shoulders and take off my flip-flops before walking into the hallway by the kitchen that leads to the stairs.
There's a ledge thing that lets you look into the kitchen when you walk into the hallway that leads to the stairs. As I walk past the kitchen I look over the ledge and see a woman with long blonde hair up in a ponytail cleaning the counters.
I get scared because I've never seen her before so before anyone says anything I bolt up the stairs to my room. After about five minutes of working up the courage, I finally leave my room to go meet the mysterious lady cleaning my kitchen.
"Erm, hi," I say peeking into the dark blue and white kitchen playing with my fingers.
"Oh, hi! You must be Ash, it's so nice to meet you!" The mysterious lady says enthusiastically.
"Uh, yeah."
I walk over to my mom that's sitting at the little two-chair table sitting in front of the big picture window hands cupped around a cup of coffee grinning wildly.
"Uh, momma who is that?" I whisper-ask her. "Is that our maid?" I ask hopefully.
"No," she says laughing. Still smiling she gives me a pointed look.
"Wait, is that-?" I ask breaking off now smiling too.
She just nods smiling even wider now. The lady turns around and asks if I wanted to help her wipe the counters. So that's what I did.
~End of flashback~
I snap out of memory lane when I hear something spilling on the floor closely followed by toddler giggles.
'Oh no,' I think, 'what is it now?'
I walk into the kitchen and see an entire cup of water spilled all over the floor both Harper and Harry playing in it while Kaden and Kyla sprint out of the kitchen.
"LEVI, ELIZEBETH, WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED HERE I WAS GONE FOR LIKE TWO SECONDS?!" I shout to the eleven and ten-year-old. They walk into the kitchen slowly.
"Uh, I don't know," Levi says sheepishly running a hand through his hair. "I thought you had them."
"Yeah, so did I," Ella speaks up.
"Why would I have them? I asked you to watch them. Just, ugh, go get the mop I'll clean it up." I say still mad. Meanwhile, Qiana comes in and starts repeating my name over and over again.
"What!?" I finally snap looking down at her.
"Can you make me cereal I'm hungry," She asks giving me puppy dog eyes.
"Didn't you already eat?" I ask putting my hands on my hips and raising an eyebrow.
"Well, uh, yeah but I want more."
"No Qi, I don't think you need more right now. Let's wait a little bit and if you're still hungry you can have a banana or something okay?" I say to her.
"Mmmmm, okay," she says like she has a choice and then walks away.
I laugh while shaking my head and head into the living room to read my book and watch kids.
