Life couldn't be better

Dominoes pt.1

It was a pretty good feeling Sunday morning. Derest wasn't really in the mood to get up though so he tried to sleep in but, just when he closed his eyes he heard his father call him.

"Derest! Come here now!" His dad called him practically yelling at the top of his lungs.

"Auugh, dammit" Derest groaned swearing under his breath. "Yes, sir." Derest came in to see his father.

"Who is this Loyd "Falco" Scott?" Derest's eyes widened hearing that name.

"Oh, just a friend of mine." Derest quickly answered.

"Ok, that's strike one, you know that I know all your current friends because I have to approve of them I don't want you to be friends with some faggot ya know." His father said warning Derest.

Derest rolled his eyes not really wanting to explain but he does anyway.

"Well this is the one friend you don't know about cause, he doesn't go to my school he goes to a different one," Derest told his father.

"Well, I'd love to meet him have a little chat with him." His father said smiling at his son.

"Ok, I'll call him and his roommate now," Derest told his father.

"Wait, what roommate?" His father asked baffled by this statement.

"Yea, he lives with his friend Sulfur cause his parents kicked him out," Derest explained.

After the "interrogation" from his dad, Derest called his best friend Lycan.

"Lycan I think I'm screwed my dad wants to meet Loyd what do I do?" Derest asked in a small panic.

"Ok, listen man life is like dominoes, life is the line stacked and in a pattern, that pattern is what happens in your life something has to topple those dominoes when the next doesn't fall." Lycan said trying to be deep and thoughtful.

"Heh, like dominoes huh," Derest repeated. "You know what your right I'm gonna call Loyd and tell him that my dad wants to chat with him," Derest said with the most confidence he has ever had before.

'Nice, make sure if your dad cooks to bring some to school tomorrow. Ok." Lycan requested.

"Fine, I'll bring some but I'm saving most of it for me. Derest agreed.

After talking with Loyd telling him that his dad wants to chat with him and to bring Sulfur if he wanted to go.

(I forgot to tell you guys why Derest is nervous for his father to meet Loyd. Well Loyd is gay and Derest knows that his father won't let them be friends, but I think you guys probably caught on to that)

"Ok, the table is set, dishes are clean, food is done this chat is gonna be a living hell for me I bet." Derest' father says to himself.

There was a knock on the door. Derest started coming to do the hall saying "I'll get it." over and over again.

"Loyd! Sulfur! You guys made it!" Derest said hugging them both.

"Hey, Derest sorry we got here we would've come early if someone didn't start to chase a squirrel," Loyd said making Derest laugh.

"Hey, what can I say it's in my blood." Sulfur joked.

They both came but before they could get to the dining room they were stopped and greeted by Derest's father.

"Hello, you must be Loyd." Derest's father said pointing to the bipedal anthropomorphic wolf.

"Uhh, no I'm Sulfur, this is Loyd." Sulfur said pointing to Loyd who felt brutally embarrassed.

"Uh, hello Mr. Mitchell," Loyd said bowing and blushing deeply.

"Oh sorry, these old eyes weren't what they used to be (fuckin' furry) would you two like to come in?" Derest's father asked.

And that concludes part 1 of the prologue to this story I would to get some names for future characters but I'm pretty good at making up unique names I think the only ordinary name was Loyd tbh, anyway I hope you enjoyed reading this I had fun writing it. Also, if you hadn't noticed the part names are quotes so yea anything inspirational or funny to me tbh.
