Mourning Mood

The sun signaling a new day began to rise but unlike any other Derest was in the hospital he didn't know why but he did know is that wanted to forget what happened to what he thinks is the night before. After getting up from the bed and grabbing his phone and headphones he walked out of his small room in a hospital gown and started to some music.

Everyone makes mistakes

But it's ok cause I'm gonna repair it

As he walked throughout the hospital he zoned out and not listen to his music or the world he just walked through the halls not knowing where or why just... trying to clear his head but every now and again he would go back to the music.

He then saw Loyd and Sulfur waiting for him at the 1st floor Loyd covered his eyes and Sulfur started to laugh.

What? Derest asked tired and groggy.

Uhh, don't you know it's better to handle that in bed or in the bathroom or I don't know, not having on your hospital gown while in public. Loyd said pointing to Derests' morning wood.

Derest then shrugged his shoulders and went back up to the 3rd floor to get his clothes.

Told you he'd forget his clothes I didn't think he would've come down with a hard-on though. Sulfur joked.

Yeah, you aren't alone. Loyd agreed.

Now, where's my 5 bucks? Sulfur said.

While going back Derest continued to listen to his music.

I know there's things to change

The path that I could choose is loose and

Once he got to his room he started to look for his clothes but to no avail. He was going to go ask the nurse if any of them know where they are. Luckily one of the nurses just so happened to be holding his clothes.

Cool, they must've washed them while I was out speaking of which, how long was I out. He then proceeded to check the calendar.

I checked in on Saturday and now it's... Tuesday! Derest thought to himself not feeling like yelling in the hospital Derest then went on to put on his clothes and regroup with Sulfur and Loyd.

In the car Derest continues to listen to the rest of the song he was listening to but before he could.

Hey, Derest I see that you are listening to something anyway, whatcha' listenin' to? Sulfur asked with genuine curiosity.

Ya' know for being a wolf you sure act like a cat. Derest responded.

Hardy-har-har I'm serious. Sulfur said unamused.

Cool, that's all I wanted to know. Sulfur said smiling as he turned around.

So Loyd. Where are we going? Derest asked worried by his unnatural timidness.

We're taking you to school you had to go back at some point. Loyd said relieving Derests' mind a bit. Ok. That's good. Derest said feeling reassured.

We're here! Loyd shouted.

Ok. Bye, you guys. Derest waved goodbye.

So when are we gonna tell him that his dad went to jail for emotional distress on Sunday? Loyd asked Sulfur.

How about we tell him when he moves in. Sulfur said softly wanting to go to bed right then and there but didn't want to explain further.

Wait, what do you mean "Move in."? Loyd questioned him.

He needs to live somewhere and we have the attic it just needs to be cleaned and searched for bed bugs other than that it's the perfect room for him. Sulfur explained.

Hey Derest what happened to ya' man I've been worried 'bout ya'. Lycan said worriedly.

You know been to places like the hospital. Derest answered.

Well, guess what? Lycan asked.

What? They're putting together a talent show. Derest answered sarcastically.

How'd ya' know? Lycan asked surprised at his friends' intuition.

Derest then pointed to a poster right across from him.

I think it's a good idea too bad most people will be singing though. Derest said.

Well about that to cut back on everyone singing there's a limit, it kinda sucks. Lycan said disappointed in the school's decision.

It doesn't matter to me music calms me down. Why not those around me as well. Derest said.

So you playin' violin or cello, or do ya' need an orchestra for some of that bloodborne music you like? Lycan asked.

You know me to well Lycan come let's do it and win this talent show! Derest exclaimed.

But which song? Lycan asked.

We'll get to that later we need a good amount choir members, bass trombonist, and percussionist then we can practice the song that we agree on cause I'm gonna need ya, buddy. Derest said.

Of course, you need me, you wouldn't win otherwise. Lycan boasted.

Haha, I guess you're right. Derest said playing along with Lycan charade. Anyway, bye Lycan gotta get to my next class. Derest saluted.

While Derest was walking to his next class that is down the hallway he heard what sounded like someone singing so he went snooping.
