"Peter, you're pacing isn't helping anyone." Bae said. "Well neither is yours. And I don't understand the purpose of this anyways. I'm just doing what you are, how does this help you exactly?" Bae stopped pacing and looked over at Peter. Totally dumbfounded. He must be worried too Bae thought. Or he wouldn't be doing ridiculous things that don't help what so ever. "I know what we need to do, but I don't know how to do it. There is someone I know of. Someone from my home land that might know of a cure. Something to help. I only know of a few people to survive this spell. One is her mother, and we can't bring her here. We can't involve any of her family. It's dangerous and she would never be ok if something happened to them." Bae told Peter. "Although, she has woken from this spell before, maybe she can help, if what you say is true. Besides, they can't come here unless I allow them here. They'd never be allowed on land. No magic is strong enough to break mine. None." Peter had made a decision. "I know what to do. Tell me where to go. Who to talk to and I will go myself. If you can't leave, and Emma can't leave, then I'm the only chance she has." Bae thought about how little he trusted Peter, but did they even have a choice? No. They didn't. It had to be Peter.
"There is her family. Queen Snow and King David. They will know what to do. I remember the story. The Evil Queen Regina, Snow's stepmother, placed a curse on Snow, by having her eat an apple. But I don't know the rest. I only know she lived because she is Emma's mother. So you need to find her. They have the largest castle in the Enchanted Forrest. Not the tallest. You don't want to go there. The Evil Queen has a tall castle. Avoid her. At all costs, who knows what would happen if she found out we had Snow's daughter and she was under the curse." Peter nodded in agreement. He knew what he had to do. He went around the surrounding area of the tree, and made sure Bae had enough food for a few days so he could stay there, inside, with Emma. It would continue to be dangerous in Neverland until they figured out how to trap Shadow. "You know where the stream is from here, right?" Peter asked Bae. "Of course I do. I've been here for a very long time."
Bae wasn't exactly 15 years old. He had been in Neverland for a while. Many many years. If he really thought about it, he would probably be over 70. Which would mean he had been in Neverland for nearly 55 years. He had no one is his home land. He only heard stories from other children from his land. Like Emma. After his parents were dead, he had nothing left for him there. So he when he wished upon that star, he wished to go to a new land. A land where he could never grow old, never see the people he knew, never have to see someone he loved die, and Never have to fight in a war like his father. He also didn't want to fall in love either because he never wanted to feel that strong for someone, and have to possibly lose them one day... but that may be an issue now. He thought about the way he felt about Emma. As he watched her laying down asleep. Possibly never to wake again and it broke his heart. He didn't want to feel loss. He didn't want to feel pain. But he knew, as tears ran down his face, without a doubt, that what he felt for Emma, was Love.
"Bae, I'm talking to you, are you listening?" He didn't even notice he was crying. He quickly wiped his tears and stood up from where he was suddenly laying beside Emma and looked over to Peter. He hadn't even known he did that. "That should be enough food Peter. I think we'll be ok." "OK Bae, I have a map, a list of names, and if I run into the Evil Queen, I use this vile of 'squid ink' to toss at her and it should immobilize her so I can get away, right?" Peter said. "Right." Peter took one more look at Emma. Wishing he had taken the time, like Bae, to get to know Emma better. He cared for her and didn't want anything to happen to her. He knew she could never feel the same for her though. He saw the way Bae and Emma looked at eachother. There was no room for him. Not as anything more than a friend. But he felt he had more to offer her. She could be a Queen! His Queen. And if she ever woke up, he would tell her that he cared for her.
