She didn't even need fairy dust to fly. She didn't really know what had happened but she thought she had heard her father yelling for her but wasn't sure. She knew Peter hadn't been far behind her. She didn't know much about Peter. He seemed protective of her, and she started to think that he wasn't the problem. Shadow was. But what did it want. What did it need her for. Was it bad? Would it hurt her? She couldn't feel it's hand gripping her wrist. It was like she was free falling but she was being flown. Just in a dragging kind of way. She didn't know what to think.

"EMMA!" She heard Peter shouting for her. "I'm here! Follow my voice!" She cried. She didn't know when it had happened, but she had been dropped down into something. As she looked around, it looked as though she was under ground. There was dirt, and there were what looked like the roots to a tree. She was completely surrounded by the ground. She was trapped. That must have been why she didn't get fairy dust. He didnt want her to try to fly out on her own, and the hile was too small for two people, which must be why it had dropped her. She'd never been to this place before. Where ever it was, but she was scared, and she was alone on an island that, until yesterday, she had believed to not be real. "Peter! PETER! I'm down here!" She watched as Peter slowly climbed down into the deep hole in which she was laying in. "I think I hurt my ankle. Shadow kind of just dropped me in here, and now it really hurts. Maybe it's twisted." She was crying from the pain. But Peter didn't know what to do. "Whatever protective magic Shadow has on this place, I can't use magic here. I can't even fly out of here." Emma slowly lowered her head, and continued to sob. Not only was she in pain, but she was lost, and stuck in a hole. Far from home. Far from her heroic father that who knows what he is doing right now if that was him she heard.

"Did you hear my father when I was taken? Did he come in and see me gone?" She asked Peter. "I saw him when I left out the window. He came in just as I jumped. He looked mad, but he was saying something when I left but I don't know what. I'll be right back, ok Emma?" He climbed up the walls from where she was, and got out, and was then able to fly away. She saw what looked like a blanket a few feet away from her and she crawled over to it, so she could pull it over her because she was getting cold. There didn't seem to be anything else in crawling distance, but she was so tired. She just wanted to cry into her pillow and fall asleep, and hope to wake up in her own bed, with her father there when she woke up and her mother's beautiful voice.

When Peter returned to the hideout, Emma had fallen asleep. She looked so uncomfortable, although he knew she needed her sleep and hated to wake her up, but he flew really far to find her a wrap for her ankle, and he knew her pain would never stop, if it didn't properly heal. "Emma, dear. I need to wrap your foot ok?" He whispered. He had hoped he could just gently wrap it, and it wouldn't wake her up. So he slowly lifted her ankle, and actually was able to wrap the whole thing, without her waking up. As he gently set her ankle back down, "OUCH!" She yelped. "That really hurt! Why did you have to wake me up? Now the pain is back." Peter felt bad, but she needed it. But she must have passed out from the pain almost right away, because she was asleep again. Peter had grabbed some blankets and a few pillows. One for under her head, and one for under her foot. It needed to be level. He read that in a book somewhere.

He sat up against the wall, watching her sleep. To protect her. He knew she was special, and knew exactly what Shadow wanted with her, but didn't want to scare Emma away. He knew he could protect her from Shadow, so he didn't worry about its plan. He would guard her with his own life. Since it was his life that depended upon it. The Shadow had come across a spell that would make it real. A real monster, in a human form. With the help of a witch, and an evil woman that hated her, she created something horrible, that could only work, if they had the heart of the purest soul. And since it was Peter's Shadow, it would somehow make him no longer 'The Pan' Since he would no longer have a shadow, he could never leave never land, and Emma would be dead.

The sun was rising, and Peter could see light through many places in this hole. He decided to climb back out, and see where he was. So he did. And when he did, he looked out, across the whole of Neverland. He was in the trunk, of the tree that sat on the top of the mountain. The highest point in Neverland. This place was Peter's first home. He climbed back down, and started looking around the place for hidden entrances. It had been so long since he had even been there. He hadn't been back, since Wendy left. She had grown up and had a family of her own. With children of her own. Her leaving broke his heart, and he swore he'd never come back. As he looked around, he could almost feel his heart break all over again. But he wouldn't cry, Because boys don't cry.

He shook his head, and got Wendy out of his head. She was gone, and all that mattered right now was Emma, and helping her. He pressed his hands and fingers up against all the walls. Up and down. Left to right. It's like everything was gone that he used to get out with. They also used to have magic there before as well, but he didn't know where that went. All of a sudden, he felt the walls shake, and dust started to fall from the ceiling, as something in the wall started to move. Suddenly one of the walls opened, and someone started to come in. "Peter! What's going on?" Emma asked, and she put her arms above her head to keep the rocks and dirt from falling in her eyes. Emma's eyes grew large as the shaking stopped and she looked up, into the eyes, of the one person she truly wanted to see.
Baelfire.
