Cole’s P.O.V
Time skip.
“Where is Bella?” Daniel asked and I gave him a confused look.
“Who?”
“Bella” he repeated.
“Who is Belle?” I asked again since I didn’t know anyone by that name.
“the nanny…? Where is she?”
“Oh she left. I didn’t know the nanny was a thief” I said getting his attention and he rose his eyebrow at me.
“Why would mom and dad even hire a nanny? What was the use of leaving
my comfortable mansion and coming back only to realize that a nanny is coming?” I asked no one in particular.
“Why did you call her a thief?” Daniel asked eyeing me suspiciously.
“I don’t know? Maybe because she stole the Jenner Group-” I didn't even finish my sentence when he interrupted me.
“And you let her GO! She stole something and you let her go? Are you sure she stole it?” he asked and I glared at him.
“She is a prime suspect so…”
“Are you sure?” he asked again to confirm.
His phone started ringing.
“Hey mom”
“yeah, we are fine”
“they are doing fine”
“uh… she left”
“she stole something”
“What do you mean by she didn’t?”
“She stole the Jenner-”
“The police? I don’t know”
“Did the police come?” he asked me
“Yes” I answered
“yes, they came”
“Did you bring the contract home?” he asked me again.
“I brought it and dropped it on my table and she came in and cleaned my room” I explained loud enough for her to hear.
“Fine, we’ll get her. Why do you even trust her this much?” he asked
pretty annoyed.
“I’ll get her” he huffed.
“Bye. Love you.”
“She said we need to get her because she knows Bella is innocent”
“We won’t get her” I said sternly.
After three days…
The police have searched my room and everywhere and even tried to look
for, what was her name? Bella so we could get the contract.
I can’t believe that for the past three weeks our security cameras were not functioning and that I also let that Bella girl go just like that with my contract just like that due to my anger and now I’m
suffering.
I was tired of working and went to the kitchen to get a drink of water, the mansion so silent that even if a pin fell it could be heard.
The shining moon was reflecting the kitchen before I opened the fridge
and grabbed coconut water. As I drank, I put my hand on top of the fridge leaning my head down after a huge gulp and I felt something like paper.
I pulled it only for me to see the contract, in my hands, on the fridge, I remember that I kept it there!
After I left the room when Bella was washing my bathroom, I was checking through it and I came to grab an orange juice and I leaned my head on the edge of the fridge and dropped the contract there. Oh My God!
