I stood at the entrance of the huge ball room as I examine the people around. I felt insecure a bit as Cole and I walked into the hall.

Why did I agree to this?

Everyone would be thinking why was I nervous when I was used to this from my life before I ran away.

"Stay close to me and always complement me. You know, like we really are in love"  he whispered into my ear as we walked past people.

I watched my dress seeing as it was a little long. He led us through the crowd of people with my hand in his before spotting who he was looking for.

We took our time walking over to them. We were greeted with the most evident surprise, and shock which was quickly morphed into smiles.

"Mr. Anderson. It's an honour that you are here." A man started before giving him a firm handshake and gently holding mine in his.

"And you too, Mrs. Anderson" he pecked my hand.

I was about to say that we weren't married yet seeing as everyone would portray me as his girlfriend but instead, I decided against it.

I have the man a small smile and Cole glanced at me.

I pulled my arm from his as he greeted other people. A young woman came up to us. She smiled,

"Cole!" She hugged him and smiled and stretched her arm.

"I'm Taylor, Cole's friend and you must be his girlfriend that everyone's been talking about." 

"I'm Isabella but you can call me Bella." I replied.

We talked a little and told me about how she and Cole met and became good friends.

After chatting with Taylor, a couple walked up to us.

"Ah. Mr. Anderson, I am most pleased to see you here with this beautiful young lady," he pecked my hand.

"Thank you, Mr. Jenner. It's an honour being here and I'll like you to meet my fiancee: Isabella." Cole introduced me and I smiled at him.

"You really did get yourself a beautiful and responsible one there." Finally the woman talked and I was guessing she was his wife.

"Yes, Mrs. Jenner" Cole said as if he was referring to something else.

"Now, do tell me, if you don't mind, how did you meet?" She asked with a glint of mischief in her eyes.

Ah. The usual where did you meet question to know if someone's lying. Well screw her, we had already practiced.

"It was at a café, I was happily sipping some coffee when someone sat opposite me. I looked at him and I saw Cole. He smiled at me and I felt my heart jump. Everything happened from there." I faked a smile at the memory and so did Cole.

"It was simply love at first sight, wasn't it?" Mrs. Jenner asked and I nodded.

"She is the only person who brightens up my day. I don't think I can live without her." Cole added and I patted his chest while slightly grinning as if it was making me flatter.

"Oh, really?" The man asked.

"You got engage but no one knew about it. Why is that?Why didn't you host a party to celebrate your engagement seeing as you are wealth?"

"Well, I wanted something simple and romantic, just a few friends and family." Cole faked a smile at me which I returned.

"I'm going to sit for a bit" I told Cole getting sick of the questions the woman was asking.
