"NO!" Marcel bawled, strident shrieks penetrating the air. The spell was meant to force him and Ariel together forever! She wasn't meant to use the dagger to end her life. Yet Ariel hadn't ended herself. She united with sea. A tender tickle scraped his scrunched up toes and in a matter of seconds, Marcel dissolved into sea-foam.

"Girls, don't cry," king Triton huddled all his daughters into a fierce hug. "Don't you see? We didn't lose Ariel, she's all around us. Every wave you feel is Ariel and your mother, every bubble, every water particle. She's everywhere. She's at peace, experienced a life of adventure and returned back home," His intelligent words of wisdom caused them to relax, fond smiles lighting their faces.

This story took a couple of months to write, rather long for me as I write quickly usually. I did lose interest a couple of times and rushed a few parts, but I'm content with the result.
