In exactly 28 minutes, Louis needed to be in his class preparing for his Friday Psychology class.

28 minutes only and yet here he was walking into the Precinct with a mission.

Ever since Ava had told him of the mystery child at the asylum, he couldn't help but feel fooled. All this time he was assured that he'd met and interacted with all the children when in fact they were probably torturing one of them, who the fuck knew what they were doing to him.

He walked right past Steve's desk at such a speed and vigor it startled the older man. Steve was shocked to see Louis there so early and only started to question the boy's motives when he saw him walking to the Head Chief's office. He hurriedly got up and practically ran after the man.

"Louis! Wai-"

"Sir I have an urgent request."

Louis said calmly walking into the office without knocking. The Chief, Mr. Jonas, looked back at Louis with a sigh, probably thinking it was someone else, someone more problematic.

"Of course Tomlinson. Have a seat. Aoki, you can head back to your desk."

Steve slowly nodded, unsure of anything, then closed the door behind him and went back to his desk. Mr. Jonas looked at Louis for a while then stood up, walking around his desk and leaning on the front part, crossing his arms.

"Well then Louis, what would you like to be done?"

"Sir, I would like to be handed a case with full information and full access to all assets and tools necessary."

"Fair enough. You are one of my best. I'll try and have the case file by the end of the day. So tell me what case is this?"

He said taking a sip of his coffee more relaxed.

Of course until he heard Louis' next words.

"It's the Styles' case, Sir."

The man spat out his drink back into the mug and Louis cringed but scoffed because that was so typical.

"Wh-what? Who told you about that? Are you insane?"

"Mr. Jonas with all due respect, there is a possibility this kid is being locked up at the asylum. You know that's my territory. I can't have that on my watch!"

Speaking of watches, he looked down at his and read off the time in his head. 20 minutes...

"Louis, I don't think you understand the full extent of this case."

"Well sir, you should know how persistent I am. Let me see this case through sir, please."

"It's been shut down five times Louis. It's been years. There's no way-"

"You don't know that. I haven't even gotten started. Let me just try it sir please."

The older man sighed, setting his mug down on the table, walking round and plopping down in his seat. He sat contemplating everything and Louis was getting really impatient because he needed to be somewhere else!

"I'll think about it and call you."

"Thank you sir!"

He shouted, already halfway to the door, and out of the man's office.

"Hey Lou-"

"Thanks Steve! I'll see you later!"

Steve frowned in confusion because the boy didn't even let him finish his statement. He was going to ask if he liked how his hair was growing...
