The month of December felt colder than usual... but then again London is always cold.

It just meant Louis had to be extra - and I mean extra - protective of Ava. With her immunity low from her lack of proper nutrition half of the days of her life, she could easily fall extremely sick. He wasn't going to risk even a mere cold.

"Daddy! I'm fine!"

Ava protested as Louis wrapped a cotton scarf around her neck. She had 3 layers of 2 sweaters and a winter coat on, plus mittens, tights and sweatpants and fluffy socks.

"I know baby, but I have to make sure the only part of you that's uncovered... are your eyes."

Louis smiled at her as he tugged the beanie on her head, tucking the stray strands of hair behind her ear. She huffed but smiled back at him. When he was done, he sat back on his heels to watch her. She swayed her hips from side to side causing Louis to smile wider.

He stood up and she raised her arms to him. He bent down again, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her up to his chest, standing and going to the kitchen to grab his keys and phone, leading them out of the house and into the car.

"Daddy?"

"Yes sunflower?"

"Will Alex be there?"

"I don't know baby. He's not in my acting class. But I'm sure we can see if he's free."

"And Travis can come too?"

"Of course."

Louis said, strapping her into the car seat. He placed a kiss on her forehead and shut the door, going into the driver's seat. He quickly sent a message to Alex asking if he's available and wanted to come down for the final rehearsal with the crew and if he is to come, to bring Travis for Ava. With that, he started up the car and drove to the university auditorium.

Once there, he walked hand-in-hand with Ava through the big doors. A girly shriek sounded and then the sound of feet padding their way. Ava barely got out a matching shriek when she was wrapped in a giant hug from Lux. Louis smiled watching the two talk over each other. Considering how they hadn't seen each other in a good number of weeks, Louis completely understood.

When they pulled apart, Lux moved to hug Louis.

"It's been so long little one. How was Paris?"

"It was so pretty Uncle Lou! And mama proposed to mummy! They're getting married-"

"And I was the one supposed to tell him."

Cara said with a smirk walking towards the small group. Lux gasped and placed her hands over her mouth to cover her giggles. Ava giggled and grabbed her hand and pulled her to the stage where the students who had arrived early were going through choreography.

Cara and Louis embraced each other, Louis wishing her his congratulations.

"So you finally proposed."

"I guess we were just waiting for one binding factor to make it forever and you gave us Lux."

"Does this mean I get to be the best man?"

Louis said wiggling his eyebrows. Cara laughed and shook her head, linking her elbow with his and they walked down the aisle (of the theatre dummies!) towards the stage.

"It's a tough choice between you and my sister."

"Oh come on! That's like a straight win for her! I demand a refund!"

"Daddy! I know the dance!"

Ava shouted from the stage. Louis smiled with a challenging gaze.

"You wanna test that out sunflower?"
