Chapter 8-

(Paige's POV)

Nash and I walked back through the big blue, glass doors and back towards our table. Nash and I sat back down in our spots.

"Look, I'm really sorry about-", I start to say and then I get cut off.

"No, it's not your fault, if it's anyone's fault it's Nash's", Lexi smiles to me and then turns towards Nash giving him a glare.

"Sorry!", Nash groans to Lexi.

"Don't tell me that, tell Paige that", Lexi snaps back at Nash, obviously upset at his actions too.

"He already did, it's ok, really it is", I say to Lexi meaning it and giving her a reassuring smile.

Just as I finish talking our waitress comes back to the table. "Are you ready to order yet?", she asks us nicely looking at the four of us.

"I will have a salad", I say to her. "Steak please", Cameron says. "I'll have what he's having", Nash looks from Cameron to the waitress. "I will have what she's having", Lexi repeats Nash's actions.

After we finish we go outside and start to say our goodbyes. "Bye Lexi", I say giving her a small hug and she embraces it. Lexi is actually a really nice girl, I deffinately underestimated her.

"Oh, umm Paige, the entire town high school is having a party tomorrow night, you can come if you want, it's at the beach at eight o'clock", Nash suggest scratching the back of his neck.

I open my mouth to respond but my mom beats me to it. "Oh hunny that would be a great opportunity to meet everyone at your new school, I think you should go", my mother smiles.

Really mom? I was going to say yes anyway. Props to you mom, you never fail to embarrass me. I groan and throw my head back. "Yes Nash, I will go", I reply with an attitude because of my annoying mother. "Great, see you there!", Nash flashes a smile. "Bye Paige!", Cameron says and the three of them pile in the car.

My mom and Elizabeth have a quick five minute talk and say their goodbyes too.

When I arrive home I go straight upstairs to my room. I sigh and plop onto my bed. "ugh, there's nothing to do", I say to myself looking around the room. I drum my fingers on my knees staring into space. All of a sudden, my iPhone lights up with a new message.

Bella- Hey girls👋

Kaylyn- Hiii😋

Jenna- Greetings😁

Paige- hello!!(:

Bella- omg are you guys going to that party tom?!😱

Jenna- Yes!!!

Kaylyn- duh, who isn't the whole school is going.

Paige- I'm going! Nash told me about it. :-)

Jenna- omg aw, I think he likes you.

Bella- now Jenna, let's not jump to conclusions here😂😂

Jenna- oops.

Kaylyn- yea Jenna, slow down.

Paige- lol😂 idk if he does or not.

Kaylyn- I heard Madison is going to be there😒

Jenna- eww

Paige- wait who's Madison?

Bella- seriously?

Jenna- she's this reallyyyy mean girl at the town high school, she thinks everyone likes her, but nobody does except her 2 sidekicks Leah and Callie and she's fake and thinks all the boys like her.
