Chapter Three: Destiny

I enter my room and lock the door and start packing some stuff. Not too much or she'll realize that there's something wrong.  I just take some apples and another outfit. That's it. I leave a note saying that I'm at Chloe's and exit the house.

Here I come.

By the time it was sunset I've already made it to Arizona. And I was so tired and hungry. I already ate all the apples that I brought and my throat was a dessert begging for a water drop. But I didn't stop. I couldn't.

A couple of hours later, I couldn't take it anymore. I felt exhaust. And I had no idea where I was, I all know is; I'm safe here.

And that was all what matters.

I knew I had to stop. I needed to take a rest,  and the monster in my stomach didn't fail to remind me . Nor did my burning throat. That's when I realized that I'm surrounded by trees. How I loved  the forest. Green, I really loved green always have. It reminds me of my father. We used to go exploring all the time. That was before he left me.

I stopped in a clearing by a lake and started swallowing gallons of water. It was like the fire was slow dieing.

Resting on the floor with my back to a tree, I start thinking. What am I going to do? I never thought this through. It never mattered. I was really focused on escaping. Soon enough my vision started to fade and I was unconscious.

I was in my office trying to ignore Stacey. She was doing everything possible to get my attention.  Fucking slut. Normally I wouldn't mind, acually I would've loved it. It's an easy lay. But today I wasn't in the mood, my wolf was on edge. And Stacey can't get that through her thick head.

'Stupid slut ' was all my wolf saying.

'Really, why do you even bother with her. You know that she's only after the luna position. '

I couldn't agree more.

' Whatever,  you and I both know that almost every female here is after this position.'

'Yeah well not our mate, she's perfect.' he retorted back.

'How do you know, we never saw her, and I'm really starting to lose hope. She's probably never coming.'

He growled at the thought of living without our mate.

'Don't ever say that again, I can feel her. She out there somewhere. I know it.'

I was about to answer back, but my beta crashed into my office with an alerted look on his face.

" What is it Lucas?" I demanded.  He sure is my best friend, but when it's  pack business and dead serious.

"Our trakers found a human at the eastern border. "

" Did he see them in wolf form, does he know about werewolves now? " I instantly add " If yes, the kill him."

I know what you're thinking, how cruel of me, but no. I am alpha. And thats what an alpha do, he protects his pack.

" No alpha, she didn't see anyone.  In fact the human is sleeping. She looks really pale and weak so killing her wouldn't ever be a problem." Lucas informed me. " Not that it was be hard for anyone of us to kill a human." he added. 

My wolf was stirring inside me, this matter was really interesting for him. But he didn't like how his beta was talking of this human. And that though of killer her made him want to rip out his throat.

" I'm coming, I want to see her myself. Don't let the trackers lose her."

" But Alexxyy, you're not gonna leave me alone are you. We still have some stuff to umm... discuss. " Stacey said with a sickeningly sweet voice as she wrapped her arms around me.
