Chapter Six - Update

A/N I'm on a role with updates! Its cause I wanna get into the story. So what do people think? Just leave a comment...enjoy :)

Kai POV  

I had got the phone call about Blake.  

I practically ran out of school all the way home. I needed to make sure she was okay.

When I got outside their house I smacked my fist against the door so hard that I thought the door might break.

In an instance one of the twins had opened the door and I was following her scent upstairs. I found her in a blue a black themed bedroom. Her little red head poking out of the top of her sheets. Her face bloodied and bruised.

Everything inside me snapped. I was at her side moving her hair from her face.  

"What happened?" I whispered.  

"Rogues" one of the twins said. I let out a vicious snarl.  

"Bastards! I'll kill them!" I shouted.  

"Easy there my son" I turned to the door to see my dad standing next to Beta Trenton.  

His face looked crushed but he didn't come in any closer. I looked to the twins who seemed to be evoking their father and one of them let out a growl when he stepped in closer.

"Boys don't be like that" Kiran said.  

"Blake wouldn't want you here" One of them said.  

I saw Kiran's face fall.  

"You two, stand down if Beta Trenton wishes to see his daughter then he can" I said using my alpha authority. I saw the boys flinch under my command.  

The one with slightly shaggier hair, Zane narrowed his gaze at me.  

Was he challenging me? I let out a growl. And he returned it.

"Zane! Don't growl at your alpha!" Kiran scolded and I felt my fists bunch at my side.  

I let out a fierce growl and next thing I felt was my back crashing against the wall.  

I opened my eyes to see Blake on all fours her fangs bared hissing at me.

Blake's POV  

I heard the deep growl aimed at my brothers and leapt from my bed ignoring the ache and pain from my muscles and slammed against the chest of the bastard.

I snarled at him seeing that it was Kai, my wolf scolded me for hurting him but even she had priorities and knew the boys were more important.

I looked to my side to see my dad standing there with an older version of Kai.  

This must be his Dad I let out a snarl at him. He shouldn't of raised such a twat face.

"Blake! Get off him!" my Dad shouted, I immediately let out a growl that caused everyone in the room to fall silent. I snapped my head back to Kai even though my neck ached.  

"Don't ever growl at my brothers again!" I hissed wrapping my fingers around Kai's shirt. Kai looked down at me, a fight going on between his wolf and himself.  

I felt it too. Hurting him, hurt me but I would never let anyone hurt my brothers, Alpha or not. They had been hurt enough.

I felt my breathing increase and pain rip through my body where the adrenaline rush was fading. I bit my lip to hold back the cry of pain, Kai must of sensed my distress because he gently engulfed me in my arms and placed me back in my bed.

I could tell that everyone was confused.  

I had after all just threatened my Alpha and here he was laying me back down into bed. It wasn't normal.  

"I think Blake needs to rest" Kai said, his voice calm.  

"We are-" Zane began but I quickly cut him off.  

"It's okay Zane I'm fine" I said with a weak smile. Zane looked at Caleb who looked at me. I gave him a small nod knowing that Caleb could convince Zane to leave.  

"Okay. Have a good rest sis" Caleb said leaning over to brush a kiss to my head. 

"Yeah! We will cook you some soup!" Zane said quickly changing his mood.  

I nearly leaped out of my bed.  

"No!" I said.  

My brothers in the kitchen?  

Talking about kitchen nightmares! I would have to call the bomb squad to destroy whatever creation they "cooked". I heard Zane chuckle as he left the room.

I looked towards my father and Alpha Zenith. Alpha Zenith seemed to be giving me a confused stare before opening his mouth.  

"We will need to discuss tonight's events, but we will wait until you are better Blake" He said.  

I raised an eyebrow.  

"There is nothing to discuss" I said folding my arms. 

Ouch that hurt! 

I've seriously gotta drop my attitude!

I expected Alpha Zenith to loose his temper but he stayed calm and collected, shame Kai couldn't do that, he let out a deep chuckle.  

"Your father is right you are trouble" he said before disappearing off.

I looked towards my Dad who opened his mouth to say something but quickly shut it, he gave me a small nod and left.  

Pang of hurt in the chest returns!  

I may have to go to the doctors perhaps it's the beginning of major heart issues.  

Or guilt. My wolf mentally suggested.  

I decided to ignore her comment.

"Your father loves you" Kai's deep voice said.  

He was still here? Great.  

"Do one Kai" I said and snuggled down in my blankets and closed my eyes.

I could feel his anger and I couldn't help but smirk, I really got under his skin.  

"I'll go but I will make you mine Blake" Kai said. Cocky bastard.  

"In your dreams boy" I muttered.  

"I will trust me" Kai said.  

I opened my eyes to see Kai standing at the door, his bluey grey eyes were shining as his face was cast in shadows. I could see the intensity of his stare and I knew he meant those words.  

But he was battling me.

"No you won't" I said with a confident smile "Now do one!" I added. I heard him sigh as he shut the door behind him and I feel into the darkness of my room.

It was late in the night and I couldn't sleep, I tossed and turned but I was healing.  

My mind was filled with the grey wolves red eyes.  

Back in Colorado Laton and I had been following some rogues that we knew were crossing our territory. The never attacked our pack but they hung around the edges.  

And they had bright red eyes. Wolves usually kept their colour eyes from being human, like I had green eyes, so they would have to had red eyes as humans.  

And that was not normal.  

Laton and I never got far with who they were and why they were like that because dearest father decided to get up and move!  

I left Laton to deal with our secret little mission and told him to keep me updated.  

I looked at my mobile phone and picked it up, along with my cigarettes (old habits died hard and I was stressed!) I shuffled out of bed to my window and onto the roof, my muscles groaned in protest.  

I decided that Laton was doing a shit job at keeping me updated.  

I dialled his number.  

It was time for me to update him.
