You know the biggest stars, they always shine the brightest just before they die?

Adam has a friend, Aubrey is her name, they been friends since kindergarten when she moved to their small town. She brought a light with her into Adam's dull world. Her bubbly nature and timid happiness makes her a the brightest gem in Adam's life, his best friend in the whole world. But somehow it all went wrong, she continued to shine brighter and brighter until one day, darkness came. And Aubrey was no longer a flying, shining gem, but a hollow case of light that could explode into million pieces at any giving moment in time.

Follow Adam through his life with Aubrey, from their very first conversation to their very last. Follow him as he tries to save his best friend and figure out what went wrong. How a diamond can suddenly turn into charcoal again.

A U T H O R ' S N O T E 

I have posted this story before, but decided to take it down for two reason. I didn't have time to really write it or even edit what I had written, because of school and my social life. Second I reread it myself and it didn't show at all what I was trying to portray, at least not the last chapters. SO I took it down as I couldn't stand it being up and being an unfinished piece that I didn't really think showed what I could do.

But now it is here again and I like this version so much better. However, if you are an old reader don't worry, the whole of the story hasn't changed, I have just fixed certain things in chapters that I didn't really like, I have removed scenes but only to replace them with something else that I like better and felt like would fit the story over all a lot more.

The cover is made by the splendid julixtta which is always such a great inspiration to me, so check her out, I promise you won't regret it if you like poetic stories and stories with a little more meaning than usual.

Also I am giving you a fare warning that if you expect a fairy tale here you can jump of the wagon now, cause this is going to be far from a fairy tale. There is no happily ever after, there is an ending who will portray the story and not glorify everything. Don't expect these two to fall in love, cause this is a story about friendship, a story about a friendship so strong that you only need platonic love to feel complete.

Their will be some bonus chapters at the end of the story which will only be for my followers, just because I wanted to do something extra for all of you who have been here for a long time. I't won't change anything about the story it is just a little deleted chapter and what not :)
