IMPORTANT: Ok so this is an awesome filler chapter that I HAVE to put in. It's going to be HILARIOUS. Please read it because there is important stuff in it, savvy? Onwards!
"Phew, I'm exhausted." I sighed, sprawling out on the bed. Jack sat down next to me and chuckled. "Why so tired, love?" He leaned back against the head board of the bed. Jack knew that I liked personal space, but I was slowly getting use to him. "We are literally always running away from something or running to something." I breathed. "We just narrowly escaped the Royal Navy for like the 10th time this week." I added. Jack stood up and bent over me. "Your right. You should rest, love." He pulled the sheets over me and began to walk out of the room. "Jack wait." I sat up. He paused and raised an eyebrow at me. "Don't leave..." I mumbled. Jack smiled softly at me and returned to the bed. "And why should I stay, dearie?" He smirked. I glared back at him. "Because I'm bloody freezing." I mumbled, snuggling into his chest. "And I need warmth." At first, I could feel him tense up, but then he relaxed. I'm usually not very open with Jack, but I know he loves seeing my soft side. Trust me, it doesn't come out often. He pecked my cheek and whispered a "good night, love" before falling asleep with me in his arms.
My eyes opened immediately. I quickly sat up and listened. That sounded like....thunder. Oh god. I jumped out of bed and ran up the stairs and onto the deck, staring up at the sky. What I saw, did not please me. Dark clouds were on the way and already the wind was blowing quite strongly. A small drop of water landed on my hand. I looked at it, then at the sky, then back at the drop. This wasn't just a storm. It was a...."HURRICANE!!!" I shrieked. I ran throughout the crew members' quarters. "ALL HANDS ON DECK!! MOVEMENT! I WANT EVERYBODY UP THERE!" I continued my scream session until I ran smack dab into Jack. He gripped my shoulders. "Jessie, what's going on, love?" He asked worriedly. Jack has been really concerned about my fear of storms since the first one we encountered, and it's because of that one that he always wants me to be near him during these natural phenomena. "There's a hurricane. Coming straight at us. Huge. Dark. Loud. BLOODY TERRIFYING!" I screeched. I haven't even reached my point of, as Jack likes to call it, "hysterical panic" He pulled me into a hug and rubbed my back. "Relax, love. Just stay with me and you'll be fine." He assured me. I nodded and followed him up to the helm of the ship where Mr.Gibbs was steering the Pearl.
"Jack! There's a real big storm hurtling right at us." Gibbs yelled over the rain and wind which had begun to pick up considerably. He glanced at me. "How's Jessica doing?" He asked Jack. See, this is why I'm starting to like Gibbs now. He really does care about the crew and makes sure that we're all ok. Against my wishes, Jack told him about my fear of storms which Gibbs doesn't mind. He's never rude about it and in fact respects my fear. "She's fine Gibbs." Jack assured him. "We have to steer away from that hurricane. But keep it down on the details, don't want her freaking out too badly." He muttered that last part so I couldn't here it. I didn't care anyway. I was too busy swiveling my head back and forth, watching the violent windstorm approach. Until I noticed something in the distance. "Guys, look!" I shouted and pointed far off at the sea. Both Gibbs and Jack turned around, their faces filling with fear. Not to far away, was the Royal Navy sailing right behind us. Jack's face brightened. Probably had an idea. "You know, we could..." but he paused and turned to me. "Um, Jessie. You may not like this but we're going to have to....sail through the hurricane..." He spoke quietly and stared at me, waiting for my reaction. Which wasn't too hard to predict. "WHAT?!" I hissed. "WE ARE GOING TO SAIL INTO THAT BLOODY NATURAL BEACON OF DEATH?!" I threw my hands into the air. "Just take me now." I grumbled. Gibbs shakily smiled. "Well, it might not be too bad. I mean after all, it's just a little hurricane right?" He sputtered.
