Authors Note: So I kinda felt bad for making everyone wait till I told em what was gonna happen with Alyssa. Before I write anymore, I wanna explain Alyssa's syndrome. It doesn’t exist. Thank god. But basically what happens is that even if she gets a little cold, she gets really sick. Her immune system is weak and she has more chance of getting in a coma. So here it goes.
Harry's P.O.V
"You can now come and see Alyssa. We don’t know when she’ll wake up. It could be an hour, it could be a month, two months, it all depends on if she wants to wake up. It’s not a coma but it’s close. Remember that she is in critical condition so be very careful not to disturb her or anything." the doctor said as he came into the waiting room where, Chrissy, Liam and I were waiting for the past hour. We had called everyone else but told them that we would call them when Alyssa woke up. Alyssa.
Somehow, it felt like it was my fault. Last night, I asked her to come with me to the radio place and she had said no. she wanted to stay home and relax because she wasn’t fee I hadn't insisted enough. Chrissy kept telling me that it wasn't my fault. I got up and walked towards her room. All three of us were worn out. Liam looked really tired. I tried to talk him into going home but he said no. Liam's really protective of Alyssa. I don't know why but he is. I walked into Alyssa's room and there she was lying down. She looked weak, and pale. I turned away from her. Liam came and put his hand on my shoulder.
The room looked cold and bare. The room had light blue walls and a hospital kind of bed. It was a small room and has one tiny window on the side. Overall, it was horrid.
"She'll be okay," Liam said, giving me a reassuring look. I turned back around and slowly touched her pale face, stroking her cheek. She was cold. I leaned in and pressed my lips to her forehead. Still cold. Her pale face and the way she looked- almost…dead- gave me shivers.
I sat down on the chair beside her bed. I hated seeing her like this and what was worse was I couldn’t do anything to fix it.
Chrissy came and took my hand. I squeezed it and smiled up at her.
I realized I was acting so selfish. I didn’t even think of how Chrissy must be feeling. She had known Lyssi longer, and Lyssi was a main part of her life too. Plus Chrissy always felt responsible for all the girls.
“You okay Chrissy?” I asked.
“Yah.” Chrissy replied, not meeting my eye. I moved her so she had to look at me.
“Are you really?”
“No Harry I’m not. I knew about her syndrome. I knew she was weak and that her immune system failed on her. But I didn’t do anything. And look how she looks now Harry.” Chrissy said bluntly, like she was yelling at herself, “She looks dead!”
What she had said astounded both Liam and me. I knew that that was what all of us were thinking but Chrissy actually had said and what was worse was that what she said was right.
Liam pulled Chrissy in a hug and we were all quiet.
“We should call her parents.” Liam said.
“No.” Chrissy said, “Not yet. I need her to wake up first. Her mom will be really worried and she’ll probably want to take the first flight here but she can’t.”
“Why?” I asked.
“She’s scared of going on planes and it’s going to kill Lyssi if her mom comes. On top of that, her dad’s out on business like he usually is, and if he has to cancel that, Lyssi will really die” Chrissy said.
“Are you sure?” Liam asked.
“Yeah, I'm sure. Wait for her to wake up.”
“Okay Chrissy.” I said.
