By the next day, it was all over twitter, Facebook, and every other site that show the lives of celebrities.

"Harry Styles dating his best friend, Alyssa Hart"

"Harry Styles and his love affair with a fan"

" Harry Styles and Alyssa Hart caught kissing"

“Harry Styles known to have fallen in love with his best, girl, friend.”

Everywhere I looked, there was something about me and Harry. Sure, I expected people to find out about us, but I never would have thought that it would be this soon. Man, I deeply underestimated the power of directioners.

This was also the time, where the hate mail started and what hurt more was that it was directed at the other girls too. Apparently, since know all of us girls were dating one boy from One Direction, directioners, or rather 'directionators' thought that the management set us up. I mean, what are the odds that five best friends win a competition, meet One Direction and have all of them fall in love?

But it was the truth, and it was my life.

Lizzie, Annabelle, Sana, Chrissy and I were sitting in my room, all of us sprawled on my bed, with hot chocolate and a cookie in hand, all of us chatting.

“How’re you doing? You’re new to all of this.” Chrissy asked.

“I'm fine.” I stated, looking once again at the tweets in front of me, full of hate.

“And you expect us to believe that lie?” Annabelle said. “Come on Alyssa. We are better friends than that. Tell us how you really are.”

“Fine! I'm horrible. In Canada, before all of this, I was okay with being called a loser because I liked to be friends with everyone. I was fine with being called a boy-crazy girl because I always had guys around me. And I was fine with being called a drama-geek because I was in almost every musical play. But now these names have turned into ugly, pathetic, slut and freak. And I hate it when people don’t like me. I hate it.”

“Oh Lyssi!” Sana said, “I hate that you feel this way.”

“It doesn’t matter. I'm dating Harry, I have my best friends with me, I’m absolutely great!” I said. But my friends told me they didn’t believe me.

Darn them for being right.

"You know what? I'm so tired of this hate. Let's do a twitcam. All of us! Let's explain to everyone that we were not set up to date One Direction." Lizzie suggested. We all looked at her, shocked.

"Oh my god Liz, that's actually a really good idea. I mean, for once in her life, Lizzie isn't clueless." Annabelle said and we all laughed. Lizzie threw a pillow at her but she was happy that we liked her idea.

So we logged on our twitter accounts and told our followers that we were going to do a twitcam in half an hour. We wanted to show the people who watched that we weren't fakes. We were just 5 teenage girls who happened to fall in love with One Direction. We each had a different personality and personally, I hoped the world liked me. I feared rejection.

I quickly changed from my sweat pants and baggie hoodie to a pair of black jeans and a beige top with a heart on it.

We finally started the twitcam.
