"C'mon Day6 is an awesome name and we all know that", Jae said for the nth time, pulling at his dirty blond hair as if he was about to go crazy."Nah, that sounds so ... wrong" (Maybe something in his brain was wrong)
Park Jaehyung and his friends/bandmates were sitting in their schools cafeteria together, discussing about Park Sungjin's idea to change their groups name.
And to say Jae was pissed would be an understatement.
"We are only four members, don't you think it's odd to call us Day6?", Brian asked, trying to cool down his friends temper a bit. He was sitting on one of this plastic chairs, playing around with both front legs of the chair in the air.
Something in Sungjin's face lit up at that and Jae groaned. "How about we add someone new?"
He had been nagging about wanting to add someone for ages now, Brian's comment only bringing his hopes up.
"I really want to kick that chair of yours bro", Jae pointed at Brian darkly, shaking his head disappointedly.
"No, Hyung is right", Yoon Dowoon, their drummer, nodded. He lightly slapped Sungjin's shoulder, smiling. "We could finally use a fifth member."
"A keyboard would be nice", Brian shrugged, looking at his best friend innocently.
The thing was, Jae didn't like meeting new people.
Sure people would consider him loud. (Well, excuse you, he got excited easily)
You could call him the heart of the party. (Only after a few shots tho)
And everyone who didn't know him would think it was easy for him to make friends, because surely a guy like him was full of confidence. (No, Jae wasn't)
All his joking around and loose mouth was an act to hide how much he hated new things.
New houses,
new people,
hell, a freaking new country.
Maybe his parents decision to leave America for South Korea, in the middle of their sons puberty, was something that had fucked him up emotionally. (Only maybe)
Now Jae was forced to learn Korean properly, adress everyone formally and go to a fancy private school.
"How long do we know each other?", Jae tried again, all eyes of his friends on him.
"Two years?", Dowoon guessed slowly, thinking about it. Sungjin nodded.
"And have I been wrong about something before?"
Brian began to laugh, stopping immediately after a threatening glare from Jae.
"You told me that red leather jacket I wore at Im Jaebum's party last year was a good idea and that was so wrong", Sungjin said, trying to surpass his laughter.
"Hyung, you disappoint me", Jae mumbled, picking at his rice.
"C'mon we have been discussing about a new member for ages now, I think it's a good idea", Sungjin leaned a bit towards Jae, trying to get him to bump fists with him to seal the deal.
"Try thinking about how amazing we would sound with someone on the keyboard. We can't miss that just because you are a little chicken." (Jae would punch Brian for that later)
The blonde groaned again.
"I would even be willing to give the name Day6 a go, who cares if we are five or six members", Sungjin grinned, knowing that Jae wouldn't miss the chance of being the new founder of their band's name.
"Don't think that I'll welcome the new guy with open arms tho", Jae mumbled, bumping his fist against Sungjin's.

It had only been a few days after their agreement on adding a new member and Dowoon had designed a flyer which hung all around the campus now.
Every student of the JYP University knew Park Sungjin's band and adored them, which led to countless of students coming over to their table during lunch, asking to join them.
A young boy just left, his head hanging low.
"He's in my afternoon music class, believe me he can't play the keys even if his life depended on it", Jae assured everyone, playing around with his food on the plate.
Jae had, rather rudely, told the boy that he wouldn't fit into their group and the poor guy almost cried.
Something caught his eye, making his mood drop even more.
"Why is Brian talking to that snake, again?"
Dowoon looked up from his plate, glancing in the direction Jae was glaring.
With Brian stood a skinny and young looking boy. His hands playing with his oversized sweater paws nervously. His purple hair fell in his eyes. Dowoon recognized him as Kim Wonpil.
"Who is he anyway?", Sungjin asked, looking over to them as well.
"Younghyun-hyung and him go to this church thing together at the weekends. He's in my music class", Dowoon mumbled, loosing his interest in his meal and staring at the pair as well.
"Why do you call him a snake tho?", Sungjin seemed amused, sipping at his coke.
"Don't like the guy", Jae shrugged.
Kim Wonpil was someone you could call a 'natural cutie'.
Cute face,
cute and innocent personality,
cute everything.
And Jae hated that. He wasn't able to do aegyo at all.
He was too cool for that anyways. (Naturally)
Wonpil seemed to do it without realizing. Something about that made Jae uneasy around him, he felt as if the boy was two faced as hell. And don't forget the incident a few months ago.
When Brian decided to bring that said cute Kim Wonpil over to their table and started to explain how he was such an amazing keyboardist, Jae wanted to kill him. Or himself, he wasn't quite sure yet.
