Under Control (Dean Ambrose/The Shield Fan Fic)

~ Chapter 8 ~

~ Alex's POV ~
So I may have forgotten to mention that I had a boyfriend that word in the WWE... Oops. His name is Dolph Ziggler, I haven't spoken to Dolph in three years... Is it bad that I want to start talking to him again? I know, I know, Dean's going to kill me when he finds out. But Dean and I aren't a thing, so he shouldn't get too upset about it. Right?

I'm not even sure I like Dean in that way, yeah we had sex twice, and teased each other, but that was it. It's not like we've said we loved each other or anything like that. We all had gotten closer with each other, I think of them all as brothers, especially Seth. Surprisingly enough after I slapped him a few times and sorted out some things, we started hanging out more and more.

Seth and Roman were currently sparing in the ring whilst Dean was lifting weights. I started over to the treadmill when someone caught my eye. Yep it was Dolph. Ok Lex, just walk over to the treadmill and don't pay attention to him. No Alex no eye contact! Annnd there's the eye contact. Damn it. I quickly turned my head and turned on the treadmill, slowly picking up speed.

~ Fifteen Minutes Later ~

"Long time no see Lex" a voice said coming up behind me, I flipped the switch on the treadmill and turned around to see the one person I didn't want to come up to me. Yeah I wanted to talk to him but not right now when the guys are like 10 feet away from me! "Oh hey Dolph" I smiled to which he returned. "It's been a long time since we've talked, do you want to maybe go out for a drink tonight? You don't have to if you don't want to, or if you're seeing some-" "Dolph, I'm not seeing anyone. Ever since we broke up I haven't 'dated' anyone, a few one night stands but that's because I was drunk" I laughed nervously. Dean was a two night stand I know that, you know that, but Dolph doesn't, and he doesn't need to know that. At least not right at this very moment.

"Ok, I'll pick you up at 7" he smiled handing me a small piece of paper with his number on it. "Sounds good " I smiled and we went our separate ways. I headed over to the practice ring where Roman and Seth were just now climbing out of it. "Our turn, squirt" Dean said walking passed me and climbed into the ring. "Really, Squirt?" I asked raising my eyebrows. "Yep" Dean smirked as I rolled my eyes and slid in the ring. "Who's gonna be Ref?" I asked looking between Roman and Seth "I guess I will " Seth chuckled and slid into the ring.

~ Later That Night ~

I was dressed in a simple maroon sweater, white jeans and white flats. I had just gotten done putting my hair in loose curls when a I heard a knock on the door. I took a deep breath and opened it to see Dolph standing there with his hair slicked back, a plan white tee shirt and dark jeans. "You look great" he smiled handing me a small bouquet of tiger lilies. I couldn't help but blush at the complement "You don't look bad yourself " I smiled setting the flowers in a large cup of water. With that we went on our way to the restaurant.

"I'm glad you decided to come out with me tonight" Dolph smiled softly as the bartender handed us our drinks. "It's been awhile since I've gotten drinks with someone other than the guys, it's nice." I returned the smile and took a sip of my beer. "So how've they been towards you?" He asked setting his glass down. "They're like my brothers and I take it I'm like their sister. I'm closer to Seth than any of them though. We started out rough at first, he called me a bitch, I slapped him so on and so forth." I chuckled at the end. Dolph nodded. Why did he want to know how they were treating me? I mentally face palmed myself, it's because he still likes and cares about me.

~ Around 10:00 - Back at the hotel ~

"I had a lot of fun tonight, even though you stepped on my foot while we were dancing" I giggled sliding my key card in the door, then turned the knob. "Sorry about that" Dolph chuckled. "It's fine, we were a little tipsy." I smiled. Dolph looked at my lips then back to my eyes and we slowly leaned in. We pulled away "I'll see you tomorrow then?" He asked with a hopeful look in his eyes. I nodded "Of course" I grinned and he smiled before pecking my check and leaving. I smiled to myself as I turned around and entered my room. I turned on the lights and sat my bag on the couch.
