After the long lasting fight in the tournament finals was Cinder still unconscious both Musket and Olivia had gone for some food while i was looking after Cinder in the medical ward and though she hadn't woken up yet she did seem at peace in her sleep, no stress or hostile face expressions just a peaceful sleeping Cinder. Tears was brought to my eyes, i felt relived for this moment when i could see her at peace again. Cinder eyelids moved and slowly did Cinder open her eyes. I tried to get in contact with her but she was still drowsy of the looks of it, Cinder did seem to be her old self again, her eyes had its glowing back and she was smiling for the first time in what felt like a eternity and was talking to me like she didn't remember anything had happen. Who knew that a normal conversation could feel so reliving.

I stayed with Cinder that whole evening, and though she was drowsy and was sleeping i couldn't make myself leave her side again until Ms. Mera came in, Ms. Mera apparently wanted to check on Cinder on how she was doing. Mera said that i should go back to my dorm room and that she would look after her through the night Cinder needed to stay in the medical ward. So i left and headed to the dorm, i was her opponent after all and i haven't had it easy to get there so i needed some good sleep just like Cinder.

Mera watched Cinder laying there in the bed and quickly as the door after Asura left Meras amused facial expression changes to a contemptuous face that was staring down Cinder. Cinder woke up but this time she wasn't smiling and that fragment of glowing in her eyes was ones again gone, she couldn't even look Mera in her eyes. Mera told her that it was pathetic what she saw on that arena and Cinder could only apologize. Mera told then that it wasn't really her fault and that she should have had trained Cinder for such encounter, Cinder asked confused what Ms. Mera was talking about and Mera answered that it was to no censured for her now because Ms. Mera would take care of that problem herself before it would become a pain. Cinder wondered if she was referring to Asura but Mera didn't answer and instead said to Cinder to pack her stuff and get ready to go. Cinder wondered where and Mera said Salem, even though she had lost in the final they had not anticipated that a silver eyed warrior would be among the student and that Salem was still pleased with Cinder potential and would report to her immediately. Cinder was therefore to leave Shade academy.

I won't lie when i say that laying in my bed again was something of the most amazing feeling in a long time, this day had been tough and my whole body was sore. Even though i was tired i had a hard time to fall asleep, not only because of my body but also because of Musket and Olivia who was in the middle of a snoring contest but i manage to fall asleep eventually.

In the middle of the night, fast but quiet footsteps on our bad wooden floor and the sound of metal hitting each other woke me up, all that noise and Musket and Olivia was still snoring. I opened one eye and tried to make a sense of what was going on, was someone in our room? In the opened window a person in black combat suit was on its way out and the shimmer form Cinders blades reflected the moonlight right on my face. Cinder? Was that her?

The person in the window jumped out and i flew up in panic. Looking out my window i could see her, Cinder was sneaking out with some of her stuff in a backpack and her weapons. Though i was confused i didn't hesitate to go right after her with my halberd in my back, i had a really bad feeling about what was about to happened.

Cinder is fast and she's not only fast she is all sow very aware of her surroundings so it was hard to follow her without getting noticed and for someone like me who have a big halberd in my hand and not really good at stealth was surprised that i wasn't discovered already and was starting to regret that i didn't wake up the others, with Musket here he would be able to have a eye on Cinder through his scope but it was too late to head back or i would lose Cinders tracks. Following her through the city, i followed her then out of the city and through the sandy desert to a smaller lake that was surrounded of trees which was uncommon places in Vacuo. A small stream of mist floated over the lake with the shattered moon mirror image with in it, with a light blue shine which lit up everything around. Cinder had finally stopped running and was now standing still waiting for someone, but who? I didn't believe that Cinder had not noticed me following her but i needed the benefit of the doubt for now, so i stayed hidden the best i could.

Not long hidden behind some fallen threes one dark shadow emerges, then a few more, they where grimm but they didn't seem keen on being aggressive and neither did Cinder though she was outnumbered she would be capable to take care of them but still i was worried. Cinder didn't seem to arm herself to be ready for a fight but did just stand there. The grimm stop advancing and some of them even moved to the side to make room for a free corridor, i had never seen grimm act like this before which made me confused but it didn't take long before i got an answer to why.

I would not believe to this day what i saw but Shades academies own teacher Ms. Mera was walking through the corridor of grimm. Ms. Mera start talking to Cinder with that smug face she always wears and for some reason i tied my hand around the shaft of my halberd and jumped out of hiding going straight for Cinder while i was shouting her name. Both Mera and Cinder with the grimm turned their head towards me, like lightning some grimm reacted and went to attack though i wouldn't let a few grimm stop me and in a small moment i had cut them down. Mera stopped the other grimm form attacking and looked like she was even more smug than usual, with confusion and irritation i asked what was going on? I was constantly on alert when the remaining grimm was slowly preceding to lurk towards me. Ms. Mera was laughing her eyes out in joy which was more than disturbing then Mera started talking about how cute is was that i had fallowed Cinder here but that she could not let me leave, a normal cliché for a villain to say in the old fairy tale books i was reading as a kid in Beacon. What was going on? why was the grimm taking orders and from Ms.Mera? and why was Cinder called this far form the city?

While allthis questions was swirling around my head something happened with the bark onthe tree behind Cinder, it was changing like into a doorway of some short, youcould see right through and what you could see was a dark and red room with along table with chairs and in front of all this stood a woman, withoutrealizing it, this was the first time i laid my eyes on the woman called Salem.
