There's Double

Chapter 6

Stella ran around the corner, only looking back to see if there was enough distance between her and her chaser. She couldn't see him as she turned her head around she ran into something. She hit the ground and slowly looked up. Her chaser, a black figure with black fog around it, looming over her. She screamed as she was engulfed in black fog.

Stella jerked awake screaming. Thomas busted through the door. "What's wrong" he exclaimed looking around the room. All Stella could do was sit there and shake. 

"Thomas allow me" a new voice calmly said.

"Virgil? Why are you here?"

"I'm anxiety, this is what's going on" he motioned towards Stella. Thomas sighed and nodded his head. Virgil slowly moved towards Stella. Stella now shaking uncontrollablly barely felt the hand on her back. The touch slowly relaxed her as the shaking slowed. She moved into Virgil's arms and he rested his head on hers. "It's okay nothing is gonna get you, I promise."

"But it did get me" she stuttered.

"It was just a nightmare. The way your anxiety comes to you."

"Why did it get me though?"

"Your anxiety is catching up to you. You're finally slowing things down and that lets your anxiety able to catch up to you."

"Are you sure you're not Logan dressed up as Virgil?"

"Nah Logan will only cosplay geeky stuff" Virgil chuckled.

"True" Stella smirked. She looked over to the doorway to see her big brother standing there smiling. Virgil let her go and she watched as he sank down. Thomas came over and held up a movie.

"You wanna watch Dinosuar?"

"That's the first dinosuar movie I've ever watched and my most favorite dinosuar movie....Of course I'll watch it" Stella exclaimed as she stood up from her bed and walked out the bedroom, Thomas following closely behind.

They sat there for a while Stella reacting to everything that was going on like it was the first time she ever watched it. Before the movie was over Stella laid in Thomas's lap sleeping very peacefully. Thomas didn't move so he didn't disturb her. He fell asleep sitting up and making sure his sister was going to be okay.
