•Chapter 79•
•Harry's Pov•
"We need to take a break." I muttered under my breath after I ended the call.
"Why?" I ignored Liam's question and rushed to the black Mercedes. I opened the car door.
"Get in." Liam got into the passenger seat, not wanting to start an argument.
Sarah's screams filled my mind as I drove. There was no way we would be staying in New York any longer. I needed her to be safe; I needed her with me.
After thirty minutes of tensed silence, Liam spoke up. "Where are we going?" I peered over at him for a second. His hand was covering up his lips and parts of my cheeks. His eyes were focused on the road as his left hand fiddled with the ripped patch of his shirt from attempting to control the demons. His right leg bobbed up in down quickly - resulting that he was nervous; worried.
"I.." I began but stopped. Trying to think of ways to phrase this without him bursting, "I called Sarah," I stopped when I saw his gaze shift over to me in my peripheral vision. His hand cupped a little tighter in his fingertips over his mouth and cheeks. "Bethany picked up. I asked to talk to Sarah and Bethany had said that Sarah was busy." I pushed my foot on the brake petal when we reached a traffic light on red. "I asked Bethany what she was doing, then that's when I heard Sarah screaming that she needed help." I shifted my gaze over to Liam's.
"Why did you call Sarah? I thought that we agreed that you wouldn't throughout this training." His voice was low, muffled under his hand. It was still audible, though.
"If I hadn't she could be dead! Who knows what could've happened!" I yelled when the light turned green. I pushed my foot back onto the gas petal, the rubber on the tires screeching against the black pavement.
We sat there in silence. Myself trying to calm down. The knuckles of my hands were pure white against the black steering wheel of the car. I made a sharp turn into Bethany's driveway, immediately retreating from the vehicle and barging into the house.
Sarah lay upon the floor in the living room, her mouth duct taped and dark red blood trickling down her forehead. I rushed over to her as Liam made his way into the house. "Take her to the car." My voice was a hushed whisper. Liam stood there in shock. "Now!" I yelled. I stood up, watching as Liam took her fragile body in his arms. He closed the front door with his foot as he left.
The barrel of a gun behind me was then loaded. "I know why you killed David." Bethany's voice filled my ears. I turned around and advanced toward her. "Don't move!" She held up the bronze and silver revolver in front of her. "You killed David because you didn't want Louis asking questions; so that Louis wouldn't find out that you did it."
This set me off. There is no way that she could have figured this out on her own. "Shut the fuck up." My fist clenched at my sides as my teeth were bound together harshly.
"You didn't want Louis to know that you killed Emily." She started off. My breathing quickened. "Emily loved you and you wanted it to stop. You wanted her to stay with Louis because you thought that he was the better choice. You killed her because you knew that she wasn't going to give up on trying to get to you. That's why you killed her." I rushed up to her, knocking the gun out of her hand.
That's when I had no control - but I could still see clearly.
My hand wrapped around her throat, backing her up against the wall. I attempted to retract; to get them to stop, but they were to strong. Her fingernails clawed at my hand - flashes of Emily came to my mind. Several of them were when she was happy and alive. Others were what happened when I killed her. I hated this. I hated that I killed Emily. I hated that I was this way. I wish that I could be normal - none of that would happen at this point. It was already done.
I was then under control again and I released her. She gasped for air as she rubbed her throat. She began coughing roughly as I stood and watched her. Her blue eyes were wild with fear. Her blonde hair was a mess. Her clothes were tattered from my attack. I left her sat upon the floor, attempting to redeem her self. I gripped the trigger of the gun around my fingertips. I walked outside, not even acknowledging the blonde headed girl getting up from the ground. She stayed in place, noticing that there was no stopping them.
"Stay away from her, or else you're dead." I flipped the gun around my index finger before walking out to the car. I slammed the front door shut as my heavy foot steps filled the air.
"We're leaving. All of us." I stated. I wasn't letting Sarah be in pain anymore. We were leaving New York - and moving to London.
