THE DOOR opened and Kyle walked in with nothing in his hold. He shifted his eyes at the empty chair lying on the floor, that made him feel dread.

As he diverted his face aside, Bradley quickly stabbed his right eye, causing him to stumble down the dusty ground. Brad's eyes held insanity, seeing only revenge for Cara's death, and his unfortunate life. He stabbed his face, and chest without feeling any remorse for him.

When he didn't move, he stood up and strode out of the room with the knife on his grasp. He felt as if his feelings got numb, like all he wanted to do was kill.

Turning to the left corner, he spotted Maddie standing on the terrace, without facing him. He moved his feet and made his way toward her.

She turned around and saw him with blood surrounding his face and body. Her eyes held shock and nervousness as she looked at his hands; it was coated with dark crimson colour.

"W-What did you to—to Kyle?" she asked with a shaky voice, stepping back to get away from him.

He psychotically stared at her, having no emotions in his face. "You mean, your worthless brother? You wanna see him? Then let me show you to him." He grabbed her arm in a tight manner and dragged her all the way to the basement.

She screamed and tried to get out of his grip, but he was stronger than her. The blood on his hand smeared on her petite arm as the metallic scent came in her nostrils.

When they arrived, Brad opened the door and pushed her inside the room. Tears emitted out of her eyes as she took a sight at her only family, that was now lying on the ground with a pool of his own blood.

"K-Kyle . . ."

He quickly grabbed her arm once again and turned her to face him. "Do you know how I've been waiting for this day to happen, huh?" he asked while chuckling in an evil way. "I've been craving for the death of my enemies. And you know who's next to my list?"

She shook in fear as she stepped back, then leaned her back on the wall. Trying to find any objects, books on the shelf was the only one she found. He strode onward as she grabbed the books and threw it on him.

He dodged them away, making his way toward her. When he stood in front of her, a sinister smile plastered on his face as he wrapped his big hands around her neck.

"Please, my Bradley! I love you! Don't do this to me!" she pleaded with hot liquids escaping out of her eyes and nose. She squirmed under his strength, closing her eyes.

He leaned his face on hers, and spatted those hateful words. "Guess what? I never loved you, bitch. I am very, very, sick at you and your brother's existence."

And then, he gave his full force, making her body lift up from the ground. She continued to kick everywhere in a desperate manner as her face turned into a purplish colour.

When she stopped, he violently threw her limp body on the floor. He felt as if he was satisfied at the view; Kyle swimming in his own blood with his sister's lifeless body aside.

As he walked out of the house, he heard the sirens, and knew that he was going to be arrested. He kneeled on the grassy ground and hung his hands in the air.

The police cars parked then they came out of it. They were holding their shotguns and pointed it at him.

He thought that he was going to be dead, and it was okay for him. He wanted to die because there's no purpose to live. The only woman who had ever cared for him died because of him. He blamed himself to the point that it hurts, it hurts that he could never see the smile he adored from her.

She was the reason why his dark life enlightened, but now she was gone.

He closed his eyes and welcomed his fate, with Cara in his mind.

"Stop! Don't shoot him!"

That voice, it was familiar for him. The voice he would never forget, and the tone that made his day be complete.

He opened his left eye and saw the woman before him, and thought that it was an illusion. A beautiful illusion.

But, she crouched down to his level and cried in front of him, looking at his face with a worried expression.

"A-Are you . . . are you even real?" he whispered, bringing his bloody hand on her face.

She bobbled her head as a smile appeared on her lips. "Thank God, you're still alive!"

The cops ran around them, helping him to stand up. "Is this Bradley Evans, Ms. Wilson?" the police asked, bringing Brad's arm around his shoulder.

She nodded then stood up. "He was beaten up that's why you didn't recognize his face."

As they sat on the police car, he continued to look at her. "I thought you were already dead," he muttered.

Her eyes widened as she stared at him. "Who told you that?"

"Kyle, Maddie's older brother," he whispered, grabbing her hand. "Thank you for saving me."

A smile crossed her lips. "I love you, Brad. And i don't know what would I do without you."

As she said those words, he leaned in and pecked her lips, giving her a warm stare.

"I love you more, Cara. Everything's alright now."

They hugged each other and thought about their future. At last, Bradley's lurid tale had been resolved, and he succeeded on escaping out of the misery.

I'm finally free.

THE END.
