It's been 4 days since the dance. Turns out that Amelia got the flu and has been feeling sick for a few days. Cody, on the hand, well, I don't really know. I haven't seen him for a while since "the talk".

Not only that, but I've been completely ignoring the new neighbor since I first saw them. I know, I know. I'm such a horrible neighbor. I'm a shy person, okay? Leave me alone.

Okay, you caught me, I'm not shy at all. I actually really like meeting new people as long as they're not annoying but I'm really awkward when it comes to talking to people my age.

Feeling exhausted, I lay in my bed and stare up at the ceiling, telling myself that I'm never getting out of this bed besides to go to the bathroom, get food or a book.

This is my life now.

Mostly because my period just started and I feel like crap.

I close my eyes and wonder if I can get one of my brothers to get me some ice cream. Or chocolate. Chocolate sounds pretty good at the moment.

Just as I was thinking, the door slams open and Anna steps in.

I open one eye and watch her sit down on the bed, smiling at me.

"What's up?" She ask and I close my eye.

"The sky."

I hear her laugh a bit before speaking, "Haha, Sky. Very funny. Let me guess, its that time of the month, huh?"

I open my eyes, "How did you know?!"

"I know you really well, Sky. Plus, you seem a bit cranky."

"I'm not cranky." I mumble and press my face against my warm pillow to block out the stupid sun.

"Cody called."

I take my face out of my pillow and look at her to see that she's smiling, "Huh? What did he say?"

"He asked if you were home. That's all." She says, still smiling as she grabs a pillow and hugs it.

"That's it?" I ask, sitting up in my bed.

"Yeah. That's what I said, didn't I?" She says and chuckles, "Your mother wanted to talk to you."

I scowl, "Tell her I'll be down in an hour."

"She said now, Sky."

I groan and throw the covers off and get up.

"Fine. Thanks, Anna." I mumble and she gives me a smile before I walk toward the door and out of my room just to be knocked to the floor by Caleb.

"Caleb! What the hell?"

"Oops!" He yells as he runs down the stairs, Percy running after him.

Brothers. So annoying.

I get up from the floor and walk down the stairs.

I walk into the living room and notice my mom watching tv. I sit down on the comfortable couch beside my mom to watch tv with her.

I love my mother. We have such a great relationship together. You can even say that we're best friends.

"Shut up." She growls at me and changes the channel. "Teen Mom just started."

"I didn't even say anything."

"Well that was incase you were."

I roll my eyes and slouch down on the couch. Yup. Totally mother goals.

"So what did you want to tell me?"

She sighs, "Were going to go say hi to the new neighbors. I've been wanting to do it for a while but never got he chance to. But since its Saturday I thought it would be my opportunity." She tells me and I groan.

"Do I have to go?"

"Yes. Your brothers are coming too." She says just as Percy and Caleb were about to run up the stairs.

They turn their heads to us, "Wait what?"

"Oh, nothing Boys." Mom says and they both go back to running up the stairs.

I swear, that that's all they do, run around the house as if it was on fire.

I turn back to my mom, "When are we going?" I ask her.

"Maybe in an hour?"

I sigh, "Okay. Um mom?"

"Mhm?" She says while she goes back to watching her show.

"I was wondering if I could have a friend over?"

My mom shrugs, "Sure. Why not."

<•>

I turn off my phone once I see the door open and Cody walks in.

"It's been 20 minutes since I called you. Are you really that slow?"

"Amelia called. She said she's feeling better."

"Is she coming back to school?" I ask.

"Nope. Her mom isn't letting her." Cody says and sits on the edge of my bed.

"Oh." Is all I say.

Cody nods and takes his phone out of his pocket, turning it on.

I stare at him for a while, watching him as he moves his hair out of his eyes as he looks down at his phone. I smile before turning on my own phone.

"Can I have your name?" Cody suddenly asks after a while, turning his phone off and smirking at me.

I glance at his phone and resist the urge to roll my eyes. Does he really think that he'll use one of those cheesy pickup lines on me again and see my reaction to it? Well, guess what? I know what you're doing, Cody Carter. And it's not going to happen. Not today, not ever.

"Why?" I ask, "Don't you have one?" I say, hoping I had a straight face or at least a serious one.

He stays silent, making me laugh. "You should really see your face right now, Cody. It's hilarious." I tell him between laugh.

"Haha. Very funny." He says, rolling his eyes. "I hate you."

"Oh, come on." I laugh, "You love me."

He stays silent for a few seconds and then nods, smiling. "Yeah, I do."
