Chapter 16

Lauren...

Chris is not answering his phone, I feel so horrible all he wants to marry me and I'm too scared to. I wonder will he ever talk to me again, I don't want to lose him...When I got home is wasn't there so I just took a nice hot shower, put on my PJ's and got snuggled in the covers and prayed that he was coming home. It was midnight when I was drifting off to sleep till I got a phone call...it was Chris.

"Hey babe." I tired not to sound too excited but i couldn't help it, he chuckled.

"Hey, sorry I'm calling you this late I just wanted to let you know that I'm not coming home tonight..." My smiled when away, he's not coming home. I don't think I can sleep without him... 

"What do you mean your not coming home? Does this mean you don't want to be with me anymore." I said jumping the gun and he sighed.

"No bae, I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you but I'm drunk and I don't have cash for the cab so I'm spending the night over a friends house." He said slurring his worlds.

What friend? Never heard him talking about anybody...

"What's his name?" I asked and heard a pause.

"Kae..."

Pause did he just say Kae?????

Riha...

"Come on be the bigger person, y'all been friends way too long to end it like this..." Cassie said but I was not trying to hear that.

This isn't the first time me and Lauren got into it, first it was at a high school party and I was drunk then I end up fucking with her guy. Then I end up dating her cousin and she had a fit, but this isn't as bad, I mean yeah I fucked Chris but that was years ago when they weren't even together. I'm not kissing her ass anymore.

"Why do I always gotta be the bigger person?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"Um because you started the fight, plus she need both of her friends night now..." Cassie said with worried eyes, I know I'm kinda mad at Lauren but we've been friends for years.

"Why?"

"Chris asked her to marry him and she said she doesn't know if she wants to. Now he's not talking to her, he spent the night over Kea's house and now Rena scared he cheated. She need the both of us." Cassie said and I sighed, she's right.

"Fine..."

I tried to call her but of course she wasn't answering my calls so I decided to go over there, when she answered the door i saw nothing but hatred In her eyes. Damn I guess I really hurt her... 

"What are you doing here Riha?" Rena asked folding her arms. "Can I come in?" I asked but she didn't move.

"Look I'm sorry for messing with Chris, I really just wanted to see how he was in the sheets that all..." I lied, how am I suppose to tell me best friend that I'm in love with her boyfriend.

"Bullshit apologize..." Lauren walked away from the door and sat on the couch, I followed and closed the door. "But I can't stay mad at you at a time like this..." She picked up the blunt and faced it.

"Damn you back at it huh?" I said sitting on the couch.

I haven't seen Lauren smoke since high school, she was such a weed head. She claims it clears her head.

"Yeah, when my boyfriend would rather spend the night at his ex than sleep in the bed with me. I had to pull them out..." Lauren said and passed it to me.

"You know he loves you..." I said truthfully.

she looked at me and smacked her lips.

"Then why isn't he here? Instead he's over Kae calming to be drunk, I bet their fucking." Lauren said hitting the blunt yet again, it's so weird for her to be extremely clam about this situation but it's only because she's fucking blown.

"World on the street is that Kae is actually getting married...to a girl." I said trying to make the situation better but it was not working.

"What the fuck? " Lauren looked at me pissed.

"Just don't take him sleeping at Kae's a threat he clearly loves you and doesn't want to be with anybody else."

"Yeah whatever..." 

I hope Chris isn't cheating on her or this conversation would have been pointless.
