"Um, are you alright" Henry asks, waving his hand in front of my face. I guess I must've been just staring at him for a while.
"Yeah, yeah." I dreamily said. He's right there. The guy of my dreams, and he's assigned to spend all of his free moments with me! I can't believe it. I must be dreaming! I can feel my fears and anxiety melting away like a snowman in summer.
"Uh, Lilly?"
Suddenly I snapped back to reality. How long had I been staring into his perfect, bright blue eyes.
"So, uh, where do I go to get to the science hall?" I asked. I already knew the way. I just wanted him to talk again.
He pointed towards the door, "Away we go!" He said in a mock pirate voice. He motioned for me to follow and walked out the door.
I can't believe he's real. Every time I imagine my dream boyfriend, he is what I'd picture is Henry. Except now that he's real, everything is just-
"Perfect!" Did I just say that out loud? Oh no. At least I didn't say the rest of it out loud.
"What's perfect?" he smiled
Hurry Lilly, think of something fast. "Uh, this school." And your smile. And they way you talk. And everything about you.
"Yeah, I guess this place is pretty great. Well, here is your stop." I'd been so lost in this conversation that I hadn't realized that we'd arrived at my classroom. Henry fist bumped me and started to walk away.
"BYE HENRY" I practically yelled across the hallway. I walked into my classroom feeling embarrassed, shy, but ultimately optimistic about the year ahead. With Henry here, This should prove to be an interesting year.
