Our Everafter: Saudade (A Harry Potter Fanfiction) [Harry and Hermione Ending]

Chapter 2

Hermione saw students talked with full excitement for the night, The lights inside the great hall lingered all around. 

She walked all the way to the seat beside Ron, Ron was talking to George. There were two vacant seats in front of him, She's guessing it's Ginny and Harry's.

"Hey" Ron greeted her as she walks towards him, Hermione smiled and sat down to beside ron.

"Have you seen harry?" neville asked her and hermione didn't know why but she shook her head.

Something in her chest felt heavier like a block of gold is pressing against her organs inside her Head spins inside and her brain felt light. 

She couldn't stopped thinking what she saw earlier in the balcony and she was frustrated because she doesn't even know why.

A moment later Harry and Ginny entered the hall their hands intertwined and Harry has already a smile on his face. 

Hermione felt relieved.

Ron and the others greeted them but Hermione just smiled at Harry who was looking at her maybe he noticed I'm being too quiet.

"Attention everyone!" Ms. Mcgonagall says catching everyone's attention.

Slowly the noise fades and the hall grew quiet.

"Before we start our feast, I would like to thank the Golden Trio for being such heroes and having unbelivable bravery to save Hogwarts" Flitwick says

Everyone cheered and clapped, Ron was very fond and high fived with the others while Harry and Hermione stayed quiet.

"And also a very special thank you to Mr. Longbottom for having courage of helping the trio and being a true friend"

Everyone cheered for him and Neville was all smiles, Hermione clapped for him.

Hermione looked up to see Harry and her heart pounded hard when he caught Harry staring at her, He quickly looked away.

Hermione frowned, What's up with him? She couldn't deny she was a little creeped out.

"And in honor for our friends Dumbledore, Snape and the others who has left us, We give our gratitudes to their souls and in hope they will be in peace" Ms. Mcgonall says.

The students eyes watered and some shed tears, The pain in Hermione's heart was too hard to handle so she cried in Ron's shoulder.

After minutes of settling down the feast started and all the way Hermione's eyes will look at Ginny and Harry's hand playing with each other and Ginny would whisper to him time to time.

"I heard the Malfoy Family was getting seperated and will live a new life far away" George says and Hermione was in deep thought when she noticed Ron holding his head from time to time.

"Are you alright Ron?" Hermione asks and caress his back gently, Harry turned to them immediately.

"Y-yeah my head just hurts, I-i think i'll have a quick rest" Ron says standing up

"I'll come with y-" Hermione immediately stood up to come with Ron.

"No Hermione stay, I'll be okay i promise" He assured her and Hermione just stayed quiet thinking if she should listen to him or not.

Ron gave her a kiss on the forehead before leaving. Hermione just sighed and sat down to continue eating.

And once again she lifted her head and saw Harry staring at her again but this time he didn't look away.
