Florence opened the front door and they both walk into the porch.
“Bye babe.”, Zayn said as he softly kissed her forehead.
“Goodbye. Take care.”, she said as she leaned her body into his. He took her by the waist and pulled her much closer to him.
She put her arms around his neck, “I love you.”, she said as she pecked his lips.
“I love you too babe.”, he said and kissed her back which made her giggle.
He let go of her and put his hands in his pocket. He started walking his way down the road, and took one glance back before waving her a goodbye. She blew a kiss and watched his figure go small with every steps he take before walking back inside her house.
She let out a loud sigh, “I can’t believe I just did that.”, she muttered, disgusted by her own self.
She went upstairs to her room, and sat by her table. She checked her clock, and it says “2:54PM”. She checked her phone and there were several calls from Louis, her bestfriend ever since middle school. She clicked his contact and hit his phone number to call him back.
“Hey Lou. Oh my god.”, she said. “What’s up with you calling me?”
“Melissa!”, he greeted cheerfully on the other line which made her pull off a real smile. “Nothing, was just wondering if you’re available so maybe we could hang out? I've got a whole week off and it has been years since I last saw you.”
“I’ll always give time for you, Lou. You know that.”, she beams over the phone.
“Glad you would. Well, text me your address, I’ll be there in a minute. I’m dying from boredom here.”, he teased.
“Oh no, don’t die!”, she teased back and they both laughed in harmony.
“Okay, I’ll see you in a bit. Bye!”, he said and hung up.
“Oookay? Bye. . . I guess.”, she said to her phone even though Louis hung up already.
She texted him her address. She stood up and hurried to the bathroom and took a hot shower, for it always soothes and lets her forget everything about the past. She then dried her hair and dressed into a sweater Louis gave for her and yoga pants, which surprisingly is really fit for her and reveals her curves, but she doesn’t really care about that this time.
She went to her room and took her phone from the nightstand and jogged downstairs. She sat down and played a game on her phone to pass the time while waiting for him. And a moment later, her doorbell rang.
She opened her door to see Louis there in his oh-so perfect structure, with his messy hair anywhere which she loved the most. She ran up to him and hugged him tight.
“Oh my god, Louis! It has been a while, hasn’t it?”, she greeted him, squeezing him a bit which made him let out a small chuckle.
“Yes, and I really missed you, Melissa.”, he said and put his arms around her, hugging her even more.
He looked down at her, and she smiled, “You’ve changed. . . a lot. I haven’t seen you in ages. Did you do something? I can even barely recognize you now.”
“Well, let’s go inside first. I don’t want to be seen”, she told him which made him a bit confused, but he was just given an I-will-explain-later look and they both head inside, with him following behind.
They both sat at the couch, really closed to each other, but they don’t care. They’re bestfriends and it’s normal to them all the time, more like just casual for the both of them. She rest her head on his arm and he rest his head over it.
