Louis sighs as he looks around his vast apartment, it had been feeling gloomy ever since Florence last went there. He walks around while taking a glance of the view from his window. He goes over to the neat pile of discs and picks out The Fray's recent album and puts it in the disc player, cranking the volume to the highest. He lies down on the black couch while humming at the song playing and tapping his fingers. Starting to get bored, he runs to his room and reaches out for a box beneath his bed. He opens the box and he can feel his eyes tearing.

There lies are a few picture frames, one note and one big photo album. He carries the box back to the living room and puts them in his side, he slowly gets the big album first. There contained were the snapshots of memories he had with Florence. From them watching a movie at the theatre house together with her and his family filling the first page to Louis and Melissa hugging at the airport because Louis is off to New York filling the last page of the album. He runs his callused hand on each and every photo before slowly closing it and putting it back in the box.

He then slowly takes out three picture frames. The first was when Louis and Florence back at their kindergarten days while hand on hand. Louis feels himself chuckling as he takes at the 'hideous' photo. He puts it back at the box before putting his attention to the next frame, it was Louis and Melissa on there Homecoming. Louis felt himself staring at the beautiful lady beside him at the photo before putting it back again at the box. And when Louis set to the last frame, his heart thumped faster. It was Florence who was studying and the memory on how Louis had capture that photo of hers made him laugh. They were both studying for the finals and Louis started to get a bit bored so he started taking snapshots of Florence without her noticing. Louis sighs with a smile on his lips as flashbacks invades his mind. He puts the frame back and was about to close the box when a paper caught his eye: a note.

Louis had written this after a week he had arrived at New York and had always planned to send this to her at Doncaster but he never had the chance to do so.

Dear my precious Melissa,

Okay, so this is very unlike of me to write letters and crap but I just felt like I had to. Besides, I feel like I'm talking to you in this way. Enough with this, let's get on to the real deal--

My dear

I have known you for a very long time

You're the star that guides my way back home

You're the star that gives light whenever I unleash the darkness in me

You're the star that has taught me to see life in a different perspective and learn to embrace it despite all the fucked up shit it throws in your face

But most of all,

You are the star that outshone and stand out from the rest... The star that I had fell in love with. A supernova.

You had been here even through all the shit I had gotten myself into and for that, I'm really grateful and thankful that you had let someone like me, a nobody, into your life. I owe it to you everything, my darling. I wouldn't have gotten into here if it wasn't for you. I thank you for inspiring me to strive hard and just let me be... me.

I know I'm not going to see you physically atleast, but I know that in some other time I will. I love you my fair darling, and just know and keep in your mind that you always will have a special place in my heart.

The sea has its pearls, the heavens has its stars, but my heart...

My heart has its love.

- Louis x

Louis carefully folds the creased out paper and puts it back in the box with a small smile appearing on his lips as another tonne of heaviness was lifted away from his chest.
