All happy moments always end. Mine end abruptly.
I looked out to the water the heard my phone buz, picking up my phone confused as to why someone is calling me this late at night I answered the phone. "Hello?" I asked. "Hello, is this Jessie Hart?" The woman asked calmly. I looked at Colby worryingly before answering again. "Yes ma'am, may I ask who I'm speaking with?" She exclaimed she was the nurse at the local hospital a few blocks away. I looked again at Colby and didn't look away. She continued. "Do you by any means know a young girl by Jax Conner?" My eyes widened at her name. "Y-Yes ma'am, she's my friend." I stuttered with how worried I am. "Well today at 10 pm she was in a fatal car accident and is in critical condition right now." My jaw dropped, no.. this can't be. "Ok, thank you ma'am." Was the last thing I said before hanging up and stood up. Without saying a word I started running towards the hospital. "Jessie!" I heard Colby yell. I ignored him and continued running, tears streaming down my face as I ran as fast as ny long legs could take me. About a couple of minutes later my legs couldn't take it any more and I slowed down, soon coming to a stop. I fell to the floor letting out a cry of defeat. I heard loud footsteps coming closer the a pair of arms wrapped around me from behind. "Jessie?! What the hell happened? Who was that on the call??" Colby frantically asked me questions as I cried my eye balls out. "J-jax.. car a-accident.." was all I could get out of my mouth. Colby just hugged me tighter. Ny cries turned into sobbing the into silence as my body got to tired to function and fell asleep.
