I woke in my own bed. Don't know how I got here and honestly don't care.
I grumpily got out of bed and got ready
Putting my hair into tight french braids. Running down the stairs, not bothering to say goodbye to my parents and walking out the door. Slowly walking to school, I didn't want to go to school, it's just going to feel empty in there, I mean, Colby there's, at least. It's just not going to be the same. I grabbed the handles to my backpack tightly and looked at the ground, watching my feet hit the floor.
Soon enough I'm at school walking through the halls to my locker, once there I gather all my things and close my locker, turning around I push my back against the lockers and close my eyes and sigh. I'm used to hearing a happy voice following me now but now it's just empty chattering from the other students.
I go to my first class and see Colby sitting waiting for me, the same seats from his first day. He smiled at me and I returned it with a weak falling smile. I sat down and put my stuff down. He looked at me and studied me. "Can you please stop staring at me like I'm broken glass?" I asked looking at him. His eyes shot with guilt and he mumbled a sorry. "How are you feeling?" He asked looking at me again. I shrugged and looked in front of me at the other students back. He sighed and took my hand and walked me quickly out of the classroom. The teacher tried to yell at us to get back to our seat but he ignored her and continued down the hall. "Colby?! What are you doing?!" "We're going to do something fun."
We started walking towards downtown and when we arrive he stops at the tallest building and look at me. I give him a confused look. "We're going to sneak in, try to pass security without them noticing us, get to the top of this building and we can enjoy the view." "Colby are you crazy?!" I said looking at him and panicking a little. "Yes, and calm down nothing's going to happen." He said and walked right into the building.
