Merlin had a rough morning. It was filled with chores and different tasks for Arthur. He couldn't wait for the knights to start training and for him to take a break. He sat down on the bench by the training field. It was nice to sit and breathe. He had hardly been able to take a break since he arrived in Camelot. It was nonstop chores, finding herbs, and saving Arthur's arse. As the knights of the Round Table trained, Merlin just watched on in silence. Until Thomas, another servant, ran up to Merlin.

"Merlin! A letter came for you!" Thomas exclaimed to him.

"Thank you, Thomas," Merlin told him, taking the letter.

Merlin opened his letter after Thomas left. The knights had noticed the two servants interact and were now watching Merlin read his letter. Merlin's face went from happy to sad, and then to confusion. Finally, his face ended on determination. Merlin then looked up to the knights and saw that they were watching him. He got up and walked over to them.

"Arthur, I need to have some time off," Merlin said once he reached the knights.

"What's wrong, mate?" Gwaine asked.

"There's been a person hurt badly in Ealdor. My mother says she has done what she can, but she needs help."

"Of course, Merlin. You can go, but I think someone should go with you," Arthur decided.

"I'll go!" Gwaine volunteered immediately.

"Sire, might I go as well?" Lancelot asked.

"I don't see a problem with it. Merlin?" Arthur said, looking over to Merlin, who looked up from rereading the letter. "Would you be okay with Gwaine and Lancelot joining you?"

"Yes, that's good. I would like to leave this afternoon," Merlin said in a voice that was unlike his normal voice. It had a very commanding tone. "I will go pack supplies now," he said, walking away.

"Gwaine, Lancelot, I suggest you go get ready. Merlin seems to be very anxious to leave," Arthur told the two knights.

"Gaius!" Merlin yelled as he ran into the physician's chambers. "Can you ready a medicine pack for a journey?"

"Of course, my lord," Gaius replied to the hidden prince.

"Gaius," Merlin slightly whined out.

"Sorry, my boy. It is a force of habit," Gaius apologized. "I can pack a bag for you. Where are you going?"

"Lancelot, Gwaine, and I are going to Ealdor. Someone is injured and my mother asked for my help."

"Well, my boy, go pack and I will ready the medicine bag."
