I woke up today to the beeping of my alarm clock. I set my alarm at 4.30am today cause i need to be ready and out of the house to college before the clock strikes 6.ooam as we all had to meet at the college before it was 6.00am. Getting up slowly as i was still sleepy, i got ready, tidied my room as i wasn't going to be there for two whole weeks to tidy it and then went downstairs where mum was waiting for me. Together we carried my bag to the car; damn it was heavy.
The drive to the college in the middle of the night didn't take long. As we got to there, i got out of the car with mum, we said our good byes.
'Have fun honey, mum said given me a hug and remember to call at least once in a day, ok she continued to say. She helped me carry my bag to the coach waiting to take us there and then watched me walk into the briefing, where we would be told more about the trip. I got in and sat next to Aidan and the usually people before the teachers came in. There were three teachers coming with us to this trip and twenty students. One of the teachers which i hardly recognised as she was dressed differently compared to always was our sport science teacher. She did a name check to make sure everyone of the students were there and on time.
This trip was to help us with our team working skills and also a chance for us all to demonstrate our team working skills. Well this should be fun. Once we arrive on the camp site the rules will be explained to us.
After the briefing, we all climbed aboard the coach. I sat next to Aidan, Maddison and Justin sat behind us and James and Kevin sat infront all of which were quite sad as they wouldn't see their boyfriend in this case Maddison or girlfriends in this case Justin, James and Kevin for two weeks. Well, i should be glad i have Aidan with me.
The coach ride took about three hours before coming to a stop in front of this place. Through out the journey i was reading, Aidan was listening to music on my ipod, Maddison, Justin, James and Kevin were talking about something, i didn't join their conversation cause i was busy reading, every now and then Aidan would join them.
The place looked friendly when seen. A plain huge green field with six tents already set up next to each other. It sure looked like my kinda place. I'm gonna enjoy this.
'This place's interesting, Maddison said as she passed by us to get off, she rolled her eyes over at Justin who has fallen asleep leaning against the window, he'd fallen asleep during the long drive and like i haven't even noticed it. I waited for everyone to get off before waking him up.
'Aidan, i said gently shaking his shoulders. He opened his eye and smile at me
'Are we there baby, he asked looking around the now empty bus.
'Yes come on lets go i said taking his hand. We got off the bus and joined the others on the field and then out of each of the six tents came someone; three of them were woman, probably in their early thirties but one of them looked quite young like maybe only a few years older than us, the other three were men, two of them looked quite young just like the third woman and the other looked quite old. Our teachers went over to then and introduced their selves.
Once the introduction was over, the six of them introduced themselves to us as our coaches for the two weeks, we were to report to any of them or our teachers when help was needed. The rules were explained then; for the two weeks we were meant to wake up and get ready at 6.00am where a bell will be rang. Great! it was like being in summer camp and the bell just remebered me of being back to school. This sure is shaping up to be some trip. Getting up, getting ready and having breakfast was to be covered in an hour because at 7.00am, everyone was meant to assemble and the days event would be explained. At mid day, snacks would be served and in the evenings we all had to meet together on the far end of the field where a canopy was made with tables and chairs under it for dinner. Not that bad i must say.
