~ Thomas' POV ~
I looked down at him in my arms. I wish I could tell you what was happening in his brain, but I couldn't figure it out myself. His face was incredibly flushed, he was stuttering nonsense words, he looked at me, stars in his eyes. We just stood like that for a long time, and I was starting to get curious. I wanted to try something.
"Oh, Madison, I know that look," I started, leaning in closer to him. "You're not falling for me, are you?" I smirked. That really did it, apparently. He immediately pulled himself back onto his feet, blushing profusely.
"Hahahahahaha, funny!" He almost yelled. I could see he was trying to keep his cool by smiling, but even his smile was nervous. I guess he forgot he was wearing rollerblades, because when he tried to "walk", he stumbled a little. He instantly grabbed my shoulder and squeezed it tightly, trying to stay on his feet. "Oh god, sorry," he said, staring at his feet.
"No worries," I laughed. "You ready to blade?" He looked up at me and smiled. As soon as I saw his nod, I gently removed his hand from my shoulder, but I didn't let go of it. I turned away, knowing that his face was probably burning. Again. I started to instruct him on how to move without falling. After about five minutes, we made it from the driveway to the sidewalk, still hand in hand. Yup. I never let go.
Note: This chapter is short and it sucks, but I had to update this at some point. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure next chapter will be longer.
