I'm s-s-sorry!" I stutter. Breathe in, breathe out then speak. Ha! "I'm really sorry! Si Billy kasi...where just...I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry," I pleaded. Bakit ang feeling ko napakalaki ng kasalanan ko?
"K, sorry ah. Di ko alam nandyan ka pala," singit ni Billy.
"Ikaw talaga Billy kahit kailan ang gulo mo. Akala ko ba uuwi ka na?"
"I am, and I'm going now. So goodbye, K," tapos nagbeso sila.
"Sige bye Billy boy."
"Mag ingat ka ah," he said to Karylle. Then he turned to me, tapped my shoulder and whispered "Bro, ikaw na bahala sa kaibigan ko ah. Pakialagaan na lang." Ano ko yaya?
And Billy’s gone, waving at us as he goes away. And so we're alone, Karylle and I.
"Hey, I'm really sorry," I said to her again.
"No I'm fine. Sanay na ko sa kay Billy. Wait, you're Yael right. We met na sa EHeads concert." Naaalala nya pa talaga ko. Kikiligin ba ko, kakabahan o mahihiya?
"Yeah, I remember you too." And I don't think I can forget you. "So how are you? Aren't you hurt?"
"No, I'm okay," she said smiling. Lalo syang gumanganda pag nakangiti.
"Ahhmm," pa'no na to? "So? Who are you with? Parang you're alone tonight."
"Yes. Uhm, actually no...I'm with Pao."
"Let's take a seat?" I asked her.
"Sure."
And I saw vacant seats sa may bar side. That'll be fine.
"Right there." I pointed. Nag agree naman sya kaya pumunta na kami dun.
"Here," I assist her sa pag upo. Gentleman :).
"Oh thank you." You're welcome.
"Drinks? Kahit ano na lang, wag lang masyadong hard, I'm not feeling well eh."
"Water ka muna?!" I ask the bartender to hand us a glass of water. "Here, drink this first." I gave her the water and she drink half of it.
"Thank you." Yes, nakakadalawa na ko.
"Sabi nga sakin ni Pao na you're not feeling well."
"So you're with Pao kanina?"
"Yeah."
"Baka magkasing kulit na kayo ni Pao ah."
"No, no, no. Actually, sabi nya sakin...wag mo sana ikagalit kay Paolo 'to ah, but he asked me to accompany you kasi sabi nya parang hinaharass ka daw. Is that true?"
"Talaga yung lalaking yun ginawa pa kong baby, hinabilin pa ko sa iba. Pasensya ka na, pati pala ikaw kinulit ni Pao."
"No, that's fine."
"You don't have to take care of me. I'm old enough, I can handle myself."
"Okay lang talaga. Parang sorry ko na rin 'to sa nangyari kanina."
"Oh, forget about that." Ganun lang ba kadali kausap 'to? Kung ibang babae nabunggo ko baka nasampal na ko.
"So friends pala kayo ni Paolo?"
