You didn't sleep on the ride. You just sat there rubbing your brothers head that was on your lap. "So are you ready?" dad asks. "For what." You fire back. "A new start." He says. "I guess. I don't know." "Y/n. I know your still mad." He says continuing to drive. "Yes. And?" "Please forgive me." He shouts. "I thought being a dad was to protect and love. Not stealing and selling." You say as you plugged in your earphones and listened to music for the rest of the ride.
You looked out the window the rest of the time, time flew by fast. You stopped. A tall apartment regarding multiple windows. You stepped out of the truck, with your little brother holding your hand as he jumped out. "Is this our new home?" He asks. You grab your bag from the truck. "Yeah." You reply Your dad started un loading the truck as you gripped onto Kade's hand. *hours later* you already knew what the apartment looked like, or as it is now your new home. You didn't really enjoy the new moving. Kade sat in the living room playing with the toys he took out of your bag.
The living room was already filled with boxes, even more in the kitchen. "Hey you ready?" You dad asks. You look at him bringing more boxes in. You ignored him and went over to Kade and sat on the floor with him, "Hey Kade?" You ask. "Yes?" He responds. "You do know that we have to go to school here right?" You ask him. "I have too?" He asks. "Yes Kade. Don't worry, it'll be fun." You say. "But. Who will pick me up?" He asks. "Dad will." You say after you took a deep breath. You see his happy face leave as it started frowning. "He won't hurt you." You say. He doesn't respond. "I promise Kade." He scoots closer to you and wraps his arms around your stomach.
"I'll be back ok? You say rubbing his short brown hair. He nods adjusting himself to play with his toys. You got up, and made your way towards the door. "Where you going?" Your dad asks. "I'm going to visit the school that I'm going to, because we couldn't stay in Pennsylvania, because of you." You say. "Y/n." He says in a sad tone. "I'll be back soon." You say. Waking past him and grabbing your bag off the counter.
