You're bag hung off your shoulder as you continued walking down the street. You pulled a paper out that had the address and directions to get there, it said to take a bus, but you didn't have your wallet. "Shit." You say under your breath zipping your bag.
As soon you could see the school. You looked around. It was only 2:53, so they were still leaving the perimeter. You walked across the football field, they were still training. You made your way to the other end of the field looking at the teens passing you and parting. You saw a group of girls walk past you and your eyes followed them taking your eyes off your path. Your head turned till I was touching your shoulder, causing you to bump into someone. "Crap!" You hear someone say as he dropped his books. "I'm so sorry!" You shout going down on your knees and helping him grab his books. "Having a backpack would've been so helpful." He replies. "You don't have a bag?" You ask as you have him a stack of books. You looked up and saw his brown eyes. You put the books on his pile and stood up dusting off your knees. "Th-thanks." He says, you smile. "No problem." You reply. "I-I'm P-Peter Parker." He says giving you a soft smile. "Y/n." You say. "Um, thanks for the h-help." He says adjusting his books. "Yeah, no problem." You say, "I'll see you around?" He asks. "Possibly."
When you arrived home it was around 3:30. You walked over to your door and it was open. "Kade?" You shout. No response. You walked through the kitchen still filled with boxes. "Dad?" You shout. "Yes?" You hear him say from one of the bedrooms. You walked past the kitchen and towards the room. "What are yo-" you begin to say, you saw him on his knees and a blown up mattress on the floor. Kade was lying with a blanket covering him and a pillow. "He got tired." Your dad says. "Oh." You reply. "He's good. Don't worry." Your dad says. "Can you help me un pack?" He asks. "U-um. S-Sure." You walked out of the room looking back at Kade asleep. You walked into the kitchen and picked up one of the boxes. You grabbed your dads keys and opened the tape that closed the top. You pulled the tabs open and your tippy toes making you taller as you looked in. Picture frames. You pulled one of them out that had a picture of your whole family. Even with your mom. "I miss you." You say under your breath, realizing it's been years without her.
When she left... that was because of Cancer. Right after Kade was born. She was gone, and never coming back.
