Once you arrived home you saw your dad's car pull up into the curve, you saw Kade in the back seat and that instantly put a smile on your face, you wiped your eyes which had tears rolling down them. You saw kade hope out of the back seat which his bag being dragged on the sidewalk. "Sissy!!" he yelled as he ran over to you. "hi!" you shouted as his little arms wrapped around your neck, and you were on your knees holding his brown locks. "why were you crying?' he asks rubbing your cheeks with his little index finger, "I just missed you so much." you reply, he was your brother, you couldn't lose him like you lost your sister, you couldn't bear to see him gone. You stood up as you carried him "want a snack?" you ask him, he nods his head as you brought him back up.
It has been 2 hours, all you've done so far was feed Kade and get started on your homework, you were typing your English homework and the book you had to read was pretty boring, you groaned as you continued reading, you looked at your agenda, it was due in a week. Might as well just do it tomorrow. You looked over at your phone and saw you got a message from a number, "hm?" you hum as you picked up your phone.
UNKNOWN: Hey are you coming?
Y/N: Whos this?
UNKNOWN: It's Ned, sorry... I found your number.
Y/N: Hey Ned, where would I be going?
NED: Well, did Peter tell you about the get-together?
oh crap, you forgot about the get-together.
Y/N: Um, I'll be there.
NED: Ok! See you!
you grabbed your bag and put your laptop on your desk, you walked out of your room, you walked past Kade's room and you saw him playing with his action figures, you walked into the kitchen and saw your dad on the phone with someone, probably finding a job, "dad, I'm going out." you say as he looked over at you, "just a second." he says as he covers the mic. "where the hell are you going?!" he yells. "why are you yelling?" you shout. you noticed the empty beer. bottle that was beside his arm, "are you serious? drinking?" you ask as he stands up, "you are not leaving." he says, you noticed him walking over to the fridge and pulling another one out. "wow." you mumble, you walked past your dad and into Kades room "hey sissy!" he shouts, "come, lets go." you say as you stuff one of his action figures into your bag, "No! bring this one too!" he shouts as he passed it to you, and you put it in your bag. "where are we going?" he asks, "somewhere." you respond as you take the shoes out of his closet and slip them on his feet. you leave your bag in his room as you run into your room and grab your sneakers and put them on, you slid them onto your socks as you ran back into Kade's room, you pick up your bag and hang it on your shoulder, you pick him up and carry him, Your dad was now on the couch still on the phone, luckily he was on the couch facing away from the door , you walked into the kitchen trying to avoid him, making your way out. You looked at Kade, he was confused. "where are we going?" he whispers as you close the door behind you. "My friend Peter's house... we'll be back later tonight, just can't be here right now, ok?" you ask him as he nods. "thanks Kade."
